This enables us to take on new instructions of any size with ease, ensuring our clients’ buildings are professionally managed from day one.<br><br></p>\n<p>We are currently seeking a Service Charge Accounts Team Leader looking for career development to join our finance team based in London. You will lead a team comprising Service Charge Accountants, Credit Controllers, Accounts Administrators, Accounts Payables and Receivables, and Property Managers, reporting directly to the Head of Service Charge Accounts.<br><br></p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have extensive property industry experience and deep knowledge of service charge accounting.<br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(52, 73, 94); font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage teams of Service Charge Accountants</li>\n<li>Assist the client accounts team with complex service charge queries</li>\n<li>Oversee team growth, training, and recruitment within the client accounts department</li>\n<li>Develop and improve structures and processes within the client accounts team</li>\n<li>Prepare accruals, prepayments, and trial balances</li>\n<li>Produce annual leasehold and company accounts in accordance with ACCA and ICAEW guidelines</li>\n<li>Liaise with external accountants and auditors during audits</li>\n<li>Communicate regularly with clients and property managers to ensure accurate cost allocation and resolve financial queries</li>\n<li>Manage year-end surplus/deficit charges on lessee accounts</li>\n<li>Perform bank account reconciliations</li>\n<li>Issue service charge and ground demands</li>\n<li>Monitor and manage accounts payable/receivable, including supplier invoices and incoming cheques</li>\n<li>Address unpaid supplier invoices held due to insufficient funds</li>\n<li>Assist Credit Controllers with arrears chasing</li>\n<li>Produce draft budgets including 10-year plans and process approved budgets</li>\n<li>Process supplier invoices<br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(52, 73, 94); font-weight: bold\">Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive experience in service charge accounts</li>\n<li>Degree-level education and a professional qualification (SAICA or equivalent)</li>\n<li>Experience managing teams and developing internal structures and processes</li>\n<li>Strong communication and technical skills</li>\n<li>Good knowledge of property accounting systems and advanced MS Excel and Word skills</li>\n<li>Background in property accounting</li>\n<li>Ability to meet tight deadlines with strong attention to detail<br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(52, 73, 94); font-weight: bold\">Salary and Benefits:</span></p>\n<p>R40,000 – R42,000 per month (depending on experience)<br>15 days annual leave (plus South African public holidays)<br>Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00 (SA time)<br>Remote work arrangement with occasional visits to Stellenbosch<br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(52, 73, 94); font-weight: bold\">Please Note:</span></p>\n<p>A stable internet connection is essential, particularly during load shedding. This position supports Urang Property Management’s commitment to Employment Equity.
