PSI is currently seeking a Mission Planning Systems Engineer (MPSE) to support the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) under the Command and Control Mission Support (C2MS) program. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Mission Planning Systems Engineer (MPSE) provides hands-on system administration and operational sustainment support, requiring a minimum of five (5) years of experience in network and/or systems administration. The role operates independently in executing technical tasks, including system imaging, configuration, troubleshooting, and deployment support, while directly supporting mission-critical systems and end users.</p>\n<h2>Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The scope of responsibilities reflects a <strong>journeyman-level professional</strong> who:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Applies established system administration principles and procedures to maintain and sustain mission systems</li>\n <li>Performs independent troubleshooting and remediation of hardware, software, and network issues</li>\n <li>Configures and supports client systems, servers, and small tactical/peer-to-peer networks</li>\n <li>Executes system deployment, imaging, and data validation activities in operational environments</li>\n <li>Provides direct user support and coordination with Government personnel</li>\n</ul>\n<p>While the role requires broad technical proficiency and operational awareness, it is primarily focused on <strong>execution and sustainment rather than enterprise architecture, system design, or technical leadership</strong>, which are characteristic of senior-level roles.</p>\n<h2>Minimum Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>5+ years of hands-on experience</strong> in network and/or systems administration.</li>\n <li>Experience supporting <strong>Special Operations</strong>, SOCOM, or C4ISR environments.</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of <strong>DoD Information Assurance</strong>, policy, and regulatory requirements.</li>\n <li>Experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting <strong>LAN environments</strong>.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with IT service management concepts (e.g., ITIL).</li>\n <li>Experience with the following:\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Operating Systems:</strong>  \n    <ul>\n     <li>Windows 10 / Windows Server (20XX) </li>\n     <li>Linux (Red Hat, Kali) </li>\n    </ul></li>\n   <li><strong>Networking:</strong>  \n    <ul>\n     <li>Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, HP </li>\n    </ul></li>\n   <li><strong>Virtualization:</strong>  \n    <ul>\n     <li>VMware, vCenter, vSphere </li>\n    </ul></li>\n   <li><strong>Monitoring & Security Tools:</strong>  \n    <ul>\n     <li>Splunk, SolarWinds, Snort, Wireshark </li>\n     <li>HBSS / McAfee </li>\n    </ul></li>\n   <li><strong>Automation:</strong>  \n    <ul>\n     <li>Ansible / Ansible Tower </li>\n    </ul></li>\n   <li><strong>Mobile Platforms:</strong>  \n    <ul>\n     <li>iOS, Android </li>\n    </ul></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Desired Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution (preferred). </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Demands</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to lift 50 lbs.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Information</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to travel on short notice, including OCONUS locations.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in operational environments with limited infrastructure.</li>\n <li><strong>Eligible for NATO access</strong> (U.S. citizenship required).</li>\n <li>Must meet all applicable security requirements (clearance level to be specified).</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Benefits</h2>\n<p>PSI offers full-time, benefits eligible employees a competitive total compensation package that includes paid leave, and options for employer sponsored group medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, AD&D coverage, legal services, identity theft, and accident insurance.
