Under the leadership of the Department Manager and/or Nurse Supervisor, coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other health care team personnel in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Registered Nurses will report to the Nurse Manager.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Days/Hours:</span> This facility is staffed 365 days a years, 24 hours a day</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Pay Range:</span> Dependent upon degree and 14px\">Provide direct patient care to meet patient needs using the nursing process.  </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Utilize nursing assessment skills in evaluating needs of patient and family.  </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Plan individualized patient care based on needs assessment.  </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Implement individualized plan of care.  </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Evaluate patient care based on continuous needs assessments and reassessments.  </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Administer medications in a timely and safe manner.  </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Demonstrate accountability and accept responsibility for a constant awareness of assigned patients overall condition. </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Develop and evaluate individualized patient teaching for patient/family members. </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Promote positive interpersonal relationships and demonstrate effective communication skills to solve problems, to carry out hospital policies and procedures and coordinate patient care. </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Promote own professional growth and demonstrate professional conduct in regard to the department, professional relationships, and the practice of nursing.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px\"> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What you bring to the table:</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Current Licensure by the Kansas Board of Nursing</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Current C.P.R. certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire.</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Adequate knowledge of nursing theory and practices.  </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Thorough knowledge of principles, methods and techniques involved in performing general nursing services and adapting or modifying standard nursing practices for care of specific cases.  </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Ability to deal understandingly and tactfully in a professional manner with patients and their families.  </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Ability to maintain good working relationship with personnel in other departments.</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">Ability to provide direction in application of nursing process, quality improvement standard, organization and departmental goals and objectives, and the State Nurse Practice
