They will direct the patient and the caregiver in selected tasks to restore, reinforce and/or enhance performance. </p>\n<h1>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h1>\n<ul>\n <li>Examine, evaluate, and administer remedial treatments for pediatric patients.</li>\n <li>Provide clinical treatment to patients including screenings, evaluations, direct treatment, and family/caregiver training and counseling regarding status, progress, goals, home programming and discharge planning.</li>\n <li>Coordinate patient care with office staff and other disciplines.</li>\n <li>Maintain appropriate communication with the pediatric patient and family regarding progress, problems, home programs, and other issues related to therapeutic process.</li>\n <li>Refer patients and family members to appropriate services including other professionals, agencies, and resources as appropriate.</li>\n <li>Consult with physician on patient progress and maintains appropriate records.</li>\n <li>Responsible for the maintenance of supplies and equipment.</li>\n <li>Perform internal and external public education functions which may include periodic in-service presentations.</li>\n <li>Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.</li>\n <li>Attend Continuing Education activities and expand scope of service.</li>\n <li>Maintain adequate caseload with appropriate productivity.</li>\n <li>Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve company and departmental goals.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with others through knowledge and skills sharing.</li>\n <li>Participate in the mentoring of students and new hires.</li>\n <li>Actively participate in professional organization and activities.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate initiative and independent judgment in performing all job responsibilities.</li>\n <li>Serve as the backup service provider for other caseloads as needed.</li>\n <li>Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h1>Education and Work Experience Requirements<strong> </strong></h1>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy required.</li>\n <li>Current state-issued professional license.</li>\n <li>Valid state driver license.</li>\n <li>CPR certified.</li>\n <li>Pediatric clinical experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Home health experience preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<h1>Other Qualifications and Skills</h1>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to read and write in simple correspondence with effective public speaking in small groups.</li>\n <li>Excellent critical thinking and critical thinking skills.</li>\n <li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to interpret instruction with the ability to solve practical problems with a variety of concrete variables.</li>\n <li>Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, record keeping and routine database activity.</li>\n <li>Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.</li>\n</ul>\n<h1>Physical Demands/Working Environment</h1>\n<ul>\n <li>Spends one-third to two-thirds of time in standing, walking, reaching sitting kneeling, and crawling activities.</li>\n <li>Over two-thirds of time is spent using hands, fingers, and will handle, feel, talk, and hear.</li>\n <li>Diverse indoor residential or childcare setting.</li>\n <li>Moderate physical activity performing strenuous activities of a therapy nature.</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.</li>\n <li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements.</li>\n <li>Moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p>",
