As a <strong>Construction Project Manager</strong>, you’ll be the driving force behind high-impact projects, taking full ownership from kickoff to closeout. You’ll lead with precision, make critical decisions, and keep everything on track, on time, on budget, and above expectations. This is a high-visibility role for a skilled leader who knows how to manage details, people, and priorities—all while building strong relationships with customers and cross-functional teams.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities and Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></p>\n<li><strong>Leadership & Team Coordination</strong></li>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead the project team (APMs, Assistants, Shipping/Receiving, Project Accountants) through all phases of the project</li>\n <li>Liaise with Engineering, Estimating, and Sales to ensure alignment</li>\n <li>Lead project meetings and provide feedback for staff development and performance reviews</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<li><strong>Client Relations & Communication</strong></li>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as the primary customer contact</li>\n <li>Address value engineering opportunities and delivery concerns while protecting project goals</li>\n <li>Manage all project-related communication to ensure timely, accurate responses</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<li><strong>Financial Oversight</strong></li>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage and review project budgets, profitability, and financial status with senior management</li>\n <li>Coordinate billing and payment tracking with Project Accountants</li>\n <li>Handle change orders, negotiate costs, and follow up on outstanding payments and back charges</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<li><strong>Contracts, Submittals, & Change Management</strong></li>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure compliance with contract terms, submittal accuracy, and RFI resolution</li>\n <li>Incorporate changes via ASIs, Bulletins, and RFIs</li>\n <li>Manage documentation throughout the project lifecycle</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<li><strong>Procurement, Scheduling & Cost Control</strong></li>\n<ul>\n <li>Select vendors and schedule deliveries to control costs</li>\n <li>Oversee freight, labor, installation coordination, and master keying systems</li>\n <li>Issue purchase orders and coordinate with Purchasing for processing</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<li><strong>Project Progress & Closeout</strong></li>\n<ul>\n <li>Track progress using internal systems and ensure timely closeout, including punch list and final payment</li>\n <li>Maintain software proficiency and up-to-date product knowledge to support effective project management</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<li><strong>Safety</strong></li>\n<ul>\n <li>Follow all safety protocols and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment</li>\n <li>Use proper lifting techniques</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<li><strong>Physical Requirements </strong></li>\n<ul>\n <li>Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying approximately 100 lbs. utilizing proper lifting procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<li><strong>Miscellaneous</strong></li>\n<ul>\n <li>Support our values in the stand areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customers</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS/BA preferred in construction management, architecture or related field can be substituted for some of the experience requirement  </li>\n <li>Strong competency in computer software and product knowledge</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic accounting knowledge</li>\n <li>Excellent organizational and time-management skills</li>\n <li>Good communication skills</li>\n <li>Demonstrated leadership skills</li>\n <li>Two to four years as Assistant Project Manager in door and hardware industry or related trade (Required)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Compensation and Benefits</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Reports To</u></strong></p>\n<p>Branch Manager</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong><u>Benefits</u></strong></p>\n<p>At UDHG, we’re committed to supporting our employees both personally and professionally.
