    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p><strong>Shift Leader </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>An Opportunity you Do-Nut want to miss! </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>To become the world’s greatest baker, we need the world’s greatest team members </strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Summary</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Reporting to the Operations Leader and Site Leader, as the  Shift Leader<strong> </strong>you will provide hands-on leadership on a production shift within the plant to ensure that production schedules are met safely and on time, while continually reducing costs and increasing overall efficiencies; all within a fast paced (Just in Time) food manufacturing environment.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>What FGF Offers:</u></strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li> FGF believes in Home Grown Talent, accelerated career growth with leadership training, and unleashing your potential </li>\n <li> Competitive Compensation, Health & Welfare Benefits including Vision & Dental, and flexible options at competitive premiums </li>\n <li>401 (k) matching program</li>\n <li> Discount program - Restaurants, gyms, shopping, etc.</li>\n <li> Tuition reimbursement</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Understands and fulfills the duties of a leader of the following programs within the production area: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), All food safety programs, All health & safety programs, All FGF policies,programs, or procedures.</li>\n <li>Leads by example and fosters an environment of mutual respect and teamwork among Team Members.</li>\n <li>Assists with troubleshooting production equipment and processes, and supports testing of new equipment, methods, and products.</li>\n <li>Responsible for leading all production Line Leaders and crews on a shift while prioritizing activities of supporting teams, including maintenance, sanitation, shipping, quality, and engineering.</li>\n <li>Coordinates department schedules, products, and manpower while collaborating with Talent and Development, Sanitation, Quality, Shipping, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth plant operations.</li>\n <li>Ensures proper methods and procedures are followed and that quality, safety, and environmental standards are met, maintaining a safe work environment through enforcement of Company Standards and regular inspections.</li>\n <li>Provides training as required to ensure an effective and efficient work force.</li>\n <li>Utilizes OMS system & SCADA System (when available) to meet production targets and follows Quality Control procedures at all times.</li>\n <li>Completes daily reports on KPI’s.</li>\n <li>Ensures product quality and output targets, manages shift schedules and skills matrix, provides performance feedback, and prepares daily huddle sheets for leaders and partners with Talent and Development to promote a highly engaged team member culture.</li>\n <li>Works with Shipping TLs to address any concerns with material management.</li>\n <li>Answers calls on radio (cellphones, if applicable) from various departments.</li>\n <li>Schedules team members per crew profiles, prepares weekly and daily T&A schedules, resolves exceptions,assigns staff to lines, and monitors attendance for lateness or absences</li>\n <li>Monitors inventory activity, stages materials for packaging scans, supports shift report updates, and troubleshoots OMS inaccuracies.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum 3-4 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment</li>\n <li>Must be a demonstrated leader who interacts with others and is adept at leading/motivating a team to meet schedule demands.</li>\n <li>Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication skills, along with simple mathematical abilities.</li>\n <li>Ability to manage difficult people (conflict resolution, team engagement, collaboration)</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.</li>\n <li>Reports Nights (6 pm to 6 am), however, must be flexible to workdays, afternoons, & weekends if needed.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of GMP's, HACCP & O.H.S.A required</li>\n <li>Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)</li>\n <li>Post-secondary education an asset</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>What is the recipe for a great career at FGF?</u></strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Working at FGF Brands, there is never a dull moment!
