At Dynamic, we foster a rewarding workplace, investing in our employees with industry-leading training programs that pave the way for growth and advancement. \n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Design Engineer is responsible for the due diligence investigations as well as preliminary design and engineering analyses of various types of retail, commercial, industrial, and residential site layouts throughout regions where we do business. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Review municipal zoning and land development ordinances and applicable agency regulations to determine land development limitations for the property.</li>\n <li>Prepare Site Investigation and Due Diligence Reports to include the review of ordinances, utility service research, outside agency regulations and site visits to establish comprehensive development guidelines.</li>\n <li>Prepare Conceptual Site Plans.</li>\n <li>Prepare preliminary Grading Plans and Design.</li>\n <li>Design of Stormwater Management and Stormwater Conveyance Systems, Utility Systems and Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Design Plans.</li>\n <li>Prepare construction cost estimates.</li>\n <li>Project coordination with client, other consultants and project team for the purpose of preparing a comprehensive site plan application.</li>\n <li>Prepare technical reports including drainage, sanitary sewer and site investigation reports.</li>\n <li>Prepare written correspondence to outside agencies, client, contractor, etc.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.</li>\n <li>Relevant Internship experience preferred. </li>\n <li>0-4 years’ experience in Civil Site Engineering (residential, institutional, industrial, and/or commercial site design and permitting experience).  </li>\n <li>Engineer-In-Training (EIT) preferred.</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license.</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle.</li>\n <li>Familiar with the use of AutoCAD to assist in the production of site plan drawings.</li>\n <li>General knowledge of Truck and Turning & Modeling software.</li>\n <li>General knowledge of the planning and zoning process.</li>\n <li>General knowledge of Hydrologic and Hydraulic and Stormwater Design.</li>\n <li>Design and drafting capabilities.</li>\n <li>Grading and drainage design skills.</li>\n <li>Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals.</li>\n <li>General knowledge of the use of available mapping websites for due diligence and site investigation purposes.</li>\n <li>General knowledge of the following design tools for site engineering:\n  <ul>\n   <li> AutoCAD Civil3D</li>\n   <li>Hydrology Software i.e. Hydraflow, HydroCAD, PondPack</li>\n   <li>Hydraulic Software i.e. Hydraflow, StormCAD, Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA)</li>\n   <li>HEC-RAS</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li> Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.</li>\n <li>General knowledge of Bluebeam Revu and/or Adobe to prepare design document markups.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li>\n <li>Independent and critical thinking abilities.</li>\n <li>Self-starter who can work independently and with team members.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What We Offer</h2>We strive to provide a great company culture consisting of a variety of team building events: trivia nights, softball and volleyball leagues, mini golf tournaments, BBQ’s, happy hours, poker nights, catered weekly staff meetings, surfboard lending programs, and much more.
