Together, we are EXP.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Are you ready to design your future?</p><p>Be our next <strong>Senior Electrical Engineer &nbsp;</strong>in the Coral Gables, FL office.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What a day at EXP has in store for you</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span>Responsible for meeting firms engineering quality levels for discipline on assigned projects.</span></li><li><span>Oversees development of design concepts by Designers and ensure proper application and execution.</span></li><li><span>Verifies designer’s s work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings.</span></li><li><span>Mentors and encourages development of Designer level staff.</span></li><li><span>Responsible for applying firms risk management practices of project engineering.</span></li><li><span>Leads the discipline design to produce construction documents that meet the project requirements within the allocated schedule and budget while minimizing erroneous efforts.</span></li><li><span>Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of discipline engineering.</span></li><li><span>Encourages collaboration to seek the best solutions.</span></li><li><span>Front-end loads projects and apply best practices to set the proper direction of the project in SDs and DDs.</span></li><li><span>Manages work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.</span></li><li><span>Writes studies and reports for Electrical systems on projects.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Executes complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination.</span></li><li><span>Expert in specific Electrical requirements for applications within a market sector(s).</span></li><li><span>Evaluates Value Engineering (cost cutting) items with respect to our level of risk.</span></li><li><span>Edits and develops basis of design narratives documenting project scope.</span></li><li><span>Meet with contractors during bid phase to review the design details.</span></li></ul><p><i>Engineering/Design</i></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span>Guide Designers on preparation of one-line diagrams.</span></li><li><span>Assist in responding to RFI’s for the project, and accurately review submittals.</span></li><li><span>Solve installation problems with electrical systems, travel to the site to resolve issues.</span></li><li><span>Provide guidance for calculations for electrical loads and panel schedules.</span></li><li><span>Thorough knowledge of NEC and other codes.</span></li><li><span>Understand and correctly apply concepts of emergency and normal power systems</span></li><li><span>Extensive knowledge of lighting, photometric, and lighting controls.</span></li><li><span>Understand and apply concepts of voltage drop, conductor sizing, harmonics, etc.</span></li><li><span>Edit electrical specifications.</span></li><li><span>Select and schedule equipment.</span></li><li><span>Meet with vendors to determine specification requirements for application.</span></li><li><span>Understands circuit breaker coordination and application.</span></li><li><span>Understands specific Electrical requirements for applications within the Market Sector.</span></li><li><span>Understands and properly applies details relevant to projects.</span></li></ul><p><i>Project Coordination</i></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span>Distribute project related correspondence to project team members.</span></li><li><span>Prepare project meeting minutes Schedule in-house discipline meetings.</span></li><li><span>Oversee deliverables to and from clients.</span></li><li><span>Oversee and encourage coordination between disciplines.</span></li><li><span>Provide discipline specific manpower planning for projects.</span></li><li><span>Provide continuous support for the Project Manager.</span></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What your experience looks like</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span>7+ years' experience in electrical design for Buildings.</span></li><li><span>Thorough knowledge of NEC and building codes.</span></li><li><span>Experience in using SKM Power Tools or similar software for engineering calculations Preferred (Fault Current Studies, Coordination Studies, Arc Fault Studies)</span></li><li><span>AutoCAD and/or REVIT MEP proficient</span></li><li><span>BS Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree.</span></li><li><span>EIT required and Registered P.E. is Preferred.</span></li></ul>",
