Overview:
Provide ID services for Department employees and contractors. Perform required and mandated functions and processes. Provides customer support services to system users, employees, and visitors.
Primary Responsibilities:
Process applicants for ID cards Process applications for passport/visa photos Process ID card applications Perform security background checks Perform quality control checks Prepare status reports Provide intermediate level customer service support Provide intermediate level training Update files Identify and resolve moderately complex ID card problems Identify and resolve moderately complex access control problems Perform other duties as assigned Performs assigned duties in a satisfactory manner Works well with co-workers and supervisors Observes work hours Demonstrates punctuality Maintains good relations with the public Demonstrates good judgment Business casual attire.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma 2 years of clerical and data entry experience 1 year of experience working in a government facility processing applicants for federal ID cards
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Advance working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Applications/Programs Good typing skills (30 wpm) Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to follow oral and written instructions Ability to perform work with no supervision Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Security Clearance:
TOP SECRET Clearance Level Required Must have a current US Government TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance Must have a current US Government Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (less than 4-1/2 years old) or be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered Single Scope Background Investigation. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals. Physical Demands:
