With us, anticipate engaging and challenging projects that deliver innovative solutions and value-added technologies helping power more than 38 million North American homes.</p>\n<h2>What You’ll Do Day-To-Day</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform a variety of the most complex engineering assignments in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.  </li>\n <li>Direct independent reviews of department work products, risk assessments, Apparent Cause Analyses, Root Cause Analyses, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, provides inputs to business proposals etc.  </li>\n <li>Propose solutions and work scope to supervisor, work autonomously on all assignments and solutions. </li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with government regulations, organization, industry and customer engineering standards.  </li>\n <li>Independently evaluate, select and apply a variety of technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making more complex adaptations and modifications for tasks not previously performed.  </li>\n <li>Develop new or adapted products, methods, systems or models to provide added value solutions to customers.  </li>\n <li>Consider impact of work on other organizations internally and externally and proactively communicate.  </li>\n <li>Provide mentoring on non-standard engineering tasks to experienced engineers.    </li>\n <li>Responsible for independent technical communications with internal customers and industry organizations (ex. ASME, IEEE, PWROG, NEI, EPRI, etc.).</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Skills</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Nuclear engineering experience</li>\n <li>ASME BP&V Code experience (Section III, NB and NG)</li>\n <li>Static and Dynamic Structural Analysis / Linear and Non-linear analyses</li>\n <li>Licensing knowledge</li>\n <li>Demonstrated problem solving ability</li>\n <li>Ability to perform at exemplary levels in high scrutiny/time pressure problems</li>\n <li>Ability to leverage their wide technical background into solving complex, unique problems</li>\n <li>Proven mentoring ability</li>\n <li>GT STRUDL, ANSYS, NASTRAN, or similar software</li>\n <li>Programming capabilities (Fortran, Matlab, Python) </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 10 years of related experience.</li>\n <li>Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.    </li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data. </li>\n <li>Grows developed network and maintains good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment. </li>\n <li>Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.  </li>\n <li>Displays leadership characteristics and mentors less experienced team members.   </li>\n <li>Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking. </li>\n <li>Advanced proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required by the role.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Total Rewards Package</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Salary:</strong> $133,000 - $181,000 and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline.
