    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Acuren is currently recruiting for a Radiation Safety Officer II to support out operation in Corpus Christi, TX. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Radiation Safety Officer I works with all levels of the organization to ensure the delivery of world-class quality services to the region’s clients. This position will work closely with the Regional/Corporate Radiation Safety as well as the Division Manager and Operations Manager to ensure that corporate goals and objectives for the radiation programs are met.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The RSO II independently administers radiation safety activities to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. This role oversees radiation monitoring programs, evaluates exposure data, investigates incidents, and recommends corrective actions. The RSO II maintains licensing documentation, coordinates training programs, and provides technical guidance to staff handling radioactive materials. This intermediate position requires a strong understanding of radiation physics, safety standards, and regulatory reporting, with the ability to work with limited supervision and assist in program development and audits.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide resources to ensure we use appropriate safety equipment, carry out radiation safety training where required, and to conduct radiation safety audits on a regular basis.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with Radiation Safety and environmental programs. Ensure compliance has been achieved and maintained at the respective Acuren facility relative to DOT and IATA regulations.</li>\n <li>Audit on-the-job radiation safety performance.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance and corrective actions when required are implemented.</li>\n <li>Monitor radiographic operations and the use of all procedures in the specific area of responsibility through audits, inspections, and other oversight techniques.</li>\n <li>Provides training and guidance in the adherence of the radiation safety program in the local office.</li>\n <li>Hands on training for 40-hour Rad. Safety for A/R’s.</li>\n <li>Shipping & handling of sources and source retrieval.</li>\n <li>Quarterly inspection of cranks and guide tube quarterly, cranks to be sent out annually.</li>\n <li>Calibration of the Dosimetry and survey meters.</li>\n <li>Manage RSO duties for one office.</li>\n <li>May perform radiography in the field as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Graduate or equivalent.</li>\n <li>Must be familiar with the applicable License(s), the Operating and Emergency Manual (ROEM), NRC and applicable State Regulations, and with appropriate sections of 49 CFR Transportation. </li>\n <li>Four (4) years full time Radiographer.</li>\n <li>Must have received training in source retrieval and equipment maintenance.</li>\n <li>Must have received training on establishing and maintaining a Radiation Protection Program</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience as a leader</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)</li>\n <li>Based in Corpus Christi, TX OR South, TX</li>\n <li>Valid TWIC card or be able to obtain</li>\n <li>State carded/trainee status preferred </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary</li>\n <li>Medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance</li>\n <li>401K Plan</li>\n <li>Paid Holidays</li>\n <li>Paid Time Off</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p>Acuren is a trusted, single source provider of technology-enabled asset protection solutions used to evaluate the structural integrity of critical energy, industrial and public infrastructures.
