About the role We're looking for a Strategic Finance Lead to serve as a critical partner to the Head of Finance and leadership team as we scale the business. This person will be the Head of Finance's primary partner and help build the financial operating system of the company. You'll own the company model, lead annual planning and forecasting, and help drive strategic decisions across every function of the business. You'll partner closely with leaders across GTM, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Delivery, Operations, and Accounting to improve visibility, resource allocation, and decision-making as Lyric enters its next phase of growth. This is a highly strategic and hands-on role for someone who enjoys building from first principles, thrives in ambiguity, and wants to help shape how a modern, AI-native company scales. The ideal candidate has experience in high-growth B2B SaaS businesses with hybrid software + services business models, particularly organizations with meaningful professional services, implementation, customer engineering, or forward deployment teams alongside recurring software revenue. Lyric operates globally across the US, EMEA, and India, and this role will help support financial planning and operational decision-making across a distributed international organization. What You’ll Do Strategic Planning & Finance Leadership Own and maintain Lyric's integrated operating model and 3-statement financial model Lead annual planning, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes Build driver-based forecasts across ARR, services revenue, headcount, utilization, margins, and cash flow Develop scenario analyses around growth investments, hiring plans, deal structures, pricing, and services attach rates Support board reporting, executive decision-making, and strategic initiatives Business Partnership Serve as a strategic finance partner to leaders across the business Drive visibility into business performance through reporting, KPI development, and financial analysis Partner with GTM and Delivery leaders on forecasting, capacity planning, utilization, and profitability Help leaders make informed decisions around growth, efficiency, hiring, and resource allocation Finance Operations Partner closely with the Director of Accounting on monthly close, audit preparation, financial reporting, and revenue forecasting Collaborate on ASC 606 considerations across software and services revenue streams Support cash planning, working capital management, and finance systems improvements Help build scalable finance processes to support global growth Building an AI-Native Finance Function We're not looking for someone who simply uses AI tools. We're looking for someone who can help reimagine how finance operates inside an AI-native company. Leverage AI to improve planning, forecasting, reporting, and decision-making Identify opportunities to automate workflows and increase analytical leverage across the finance organization Help define how a modern finance team operates in an AI-native company What We're Looking For 6–12+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or related fields Experience supporting high-growth B2B SaaS companies with hybrid software + services business models Strong understanding of SaaS and professional services revenue models Experience building and maintaining complex financial models Familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition principles Strong understanding of services metrics, including utilization, billable hours, and blended margins Experience with driver-based forecasting, scenario modeling, and business partnering Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills Experience supporting global operations is a plus Why Join Lyric? Location Remote - US Compensation The annual base compensation range for this position is $150,000 and $180,000. Base cash will be determined based on years of experience with a 20% variable compensation that is earned based on individual & business performance.
