    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Description</strong></p>\n<p>The Process Dev Engineering Senior Research Associate will be part of a team responsible for process development and optimization, as well as characterization of cell product for ongoing and future projects. This position will support the Thursday through Monday shift.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Duties and Responsibilities:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Participates in the design and planning of process development and characterization studies under the supervision of senior members. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintains 2D and 3D pluripotent stem cell culture in various cell culture platforms. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Formulate media and factors according to established procedures in an aseptic environment. </li>\n <li>Generate samples for analytical assays and coordinate with Analytical team to plan timely analysis.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure data integrity by timely completion of documentation, including experiment recording in an electronic lab notebook system.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Compile, organize, and analyze experimental data for report writing.</li>\n <li>Support a fully integrated team to facilitate the success of projects. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Work within departmental teams, support deliverables and participate in team discussions on issue resolution. </li>\n <li>Contribute to fostering a collaborative working environment and positive team culture.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with lab safety procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge and Skills:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficiency with mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique.</li>\n <li>Experience with cell processing devices and bioreactor platforms/scales such as spinner flasks, fixed bed reactors, stirred tank reactors and/or Ambr systems.</li>\n <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to follow detailed instructions and to maintain detailed and accurate records and notes. </li>\n <li>Willingness to learn and take initiatives, with a team-oriented attitude. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be skilled in the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  JMP and GraphPad Prism preferred. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Weekend (Saturday and Sunday) work is required and must have a flexible schedule to work some holidays.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>A bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemical engineering or related discipline with 2-4 years of experience, or master’s degree with 0-1 years of experience is required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Contract Duration:</strong> 6 months, with the possibility of extension.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Pay Range</h2>\n<p>$38/hr. - $40/hr.</p>\n<h2>Shift/Hours</h2>\n<p>Thursday - Monday</p>\n<h2>Requisition Disclaimer</h2>\n<p>This job posting is for a temporary role with a third-party agency partner on assignment at Vertex Pharmaceuticals (“Vertex”).
