    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\">&nbsp;<strong>Position Title:&nbsp;</strong>MFT and MSW Clinical Practicum Trainee&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Department:&nbsp;</strong>Mental Health Programs&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Reports To:&nbsp;</strong>Clinical Supervisor of the Assigned Department&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Responsible for delivering mental health services, which may include psychological assessments, individual, couple/family or group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, treatment planning, attending and participating in clinical supervision, and completing training as determined by the clinical supervisor and Tarzana Treatment Centers.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>HOURS&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Practicum Trainees are required to work a minimum sixteen (16) hours per week with a nine-month commitment, with twenty (20) hours a week and a one-year commitment preferred.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>CATEGORIES OF DUTIES&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Clinical Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p><ol start=\"1\" type=\"1\"><li>Shall be responsible for developing and demonstrating appropriate skills in conducting psychological assessments of patients, which includes a clinical diagnostic interview, mental status exam, diagnosis, and write up of the assessment.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"2\" type=\"1\"><li>Shall be responsible for developing and demonstrating appropriate skills in treatment, including administering, and tracking outcome measures that indicate progress as determined by agency standards, and discharge planning.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"3\" type=\"1\"><li>Shall be responsible for developing and demonstrating appropriate skills in determining diagnoses and treatment recommendations based on knowledge and identification of signs and symptoms of psychological disorders.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"4\" type=\"1\"><li>Shall be responsible for developing and demonstrating appropriate skills in providing individual therapy. There may be opportunities to provide couple, family, and/or group psychotherapy.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"5\" type=\"1\"><li>Shall be responsible for developing and demonstrating appropriate skills in providing crisis intervention services or counseling, psychological emergency interventions and assessments, as appropriate per level of training.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"6\" type=\"1\"><li>Shall be responsible for developing and demonstrating appropriate skills and knowledge of current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements (i.e., suspected abuse; Tarasoff), professional boundaries and related issues.&nbsp;</li></ol><p><strong>Supervision/Training&nbsp;</strong></p><ol start=\"1\" type=\"1\"><li>Shall be responsible for attending weekly group supervision meetings as requested.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"2\" type=\"1\"><li>Shall be responsible for attending individual supervision sessions as scheduled with supervisors.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"3\" type=\"1\"><li>Shall be responsible for attending specific trainings as requested.&nbsp;</li></ol><p>&nbsp;<strong>Administrative/Documentation&nbsp;</strong></p><ol start=\"1\" type=\"1\"><li>Shall be responsible for maintaining proper documentation of training hours and obtaining supervisors signatures as required.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"2\" type=\"1\"><li>Shall be responsible for proper documentation of clinical information obtained through provision of clinical services rendered, and for obtaining signature of supervisors on all documentation.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"3\" type=\"1\"><li>Shall demonstrate ability to conceptualize cases and prioritize treatment needs as evidenced by clinical documentation.&nbsp;</li></ol><ol start=\"4\" type=\"1\"><li>Shall perform such additional functions as specifically requested by Clinical Supervisor of the program to meet special patient needs, as necessary.&nbsp;</li></ol><p><strong>EDUCATION&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree and current enrollment in a graduate program in the field of Psychology, Counseling or Behavioral Sciences.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>EXPERIENCE&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Prior experience in providing substance abuse and/or mental health services, although not mandatory, is preferred.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>SETTING&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. is a non-profit corporation, which provides behavioral healthcare services, including chemical dependency.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. does not discriminate as to race, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation and disability in its hiring practices.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ADA REQUIREMENT&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. supports the Americans with Disabilities Act.
