We offer <u>competitive pay and benefits, and well-being programs</u> to support you and your family.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/.</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead and review hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analyses/modeling for small and large watersheds (e.g., rainfall-runoff, pipe/channel conveyance, detention/retention, and floodplain hydraulics), including model selection, assumptions, calibration, and documentation.</li>\n <li>Lead planning and design of stormwater and water resources projects including drainage improvements, watershed/basin planning, green infrastructure / low impact development (LID), water quality treatment BMPs and treatment systems, erosion and sediment control, and stream/ditch rehabilitation.</li>\n <li>Oversee engineering calculations, design deliverables, and coordination with CAD/GIS staff; perform QA/QC reviews of plans, specifications, and technical deliverables to meet internal standards and client/regulatory requirements.</li>\n <li>Serve as technical lead for stormwater monitoring, permitting, and compliance (e.g., NPDES/MS4, construction stormwater, industrial stormwater), including developing/reviewing SWPPPs, data collection plans, and related inspection/reporting documentation, supporting consistent compliance programs, and coordinating with agencies and stakeholders as needed.</li>\n <li>Prepare and review technical memoranda, calculations packages, design reports, and exhibits (figures, maps, and plan sheets); as appropriate, sign and seal engineering deliverables in accordance with licensure requirements.</li>\n <li>Develop and deliver operations, maintenance, and/or operator training materials to support implementation and long-term performance of stormwater treatment BMPs and treatment systems.</li>\n <li>Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior staff; coordinate multi-disciplinary teams (engineers, geologists, scientists) to meet scope, schedule, quality, and safety expectations.</li>\n <li>Manage projects and major tasks: define scope, level of effort, schedules, and budgets; lead work planning; track progress and burn rates; manage subconsultants; and support change management and risk identification for multiple concurrent assignments.</li>\n <li>Serve as a key point of contact for clients and project stakeholders; communicate proactively, facilitate meetings, and present strategic updates, milestones, and actionable recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences (including public meetings and City Council/boards, as appropriate).</li>\n <li>Lead and support proposals and business development activities (e.g., develop scopes, work plans, and cost estimates; contribute to client strategy) and support staff development through coaching and performance feedback.</li>\n <li>Share knowledge internally and represent the firm through participation in industry organizations and conferences.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education and Licensure</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering (or closely related discipline) with coursework/emphasis in water resources, stormwater, hydrology/hydraulics. (required)</li>\n <li>Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering with an emphasis in water resources, stormwater, hydrology/hydraulics, or a closely related discipline. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (active). Washington P.E. preferred; if currently licensed in another state, ability to obtain Washington licensure by comity/reciprocity within 6 months of hire. (required)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills, Experience and Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>At least 7 years (8+ years preferred) of related stormwater/water resources experience delivering planning, design, and project execution in consulting and/or regulated industry environments. (required) </li>\n <li>Experience with H&H modeling/design tools such as EPA-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD (or similar), plus CAD and GIS platforms (e.g., AutoCAD/Civil 3D and ArcGIS). (required)</li>\n <li>Experience supporting stormwater permitting and compliance (e.g., NPDES/MS4, construction and industrial stormwater), including erosion and sediment control and permanent BMP design. (required)</li>\n <li>Experience with field investigations and data collection related to stormwater infrastructure, drainage systems, erosion control, and/or water quality BMP performance. (required) </li>\n <li>Strong technical writing, task/project coordination, and client communication skills. (required)</li>\n <li>Experience managing task budgets and tracking project financials (e.g., work planning, progress tracking, and burn-rate management). (required)</li>\n <li>Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)</li>\n <li>Experience leading large capital stormwater infrastructure upgrades and/or stormwater treatment system implementations, including performance objectives for constituents of concern and regulatory compliance outcomes. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Experience with watershed/basin planning, stakeholder engagement, and presenting project updates and recommendations to public audiences and decision-makers. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Experience developing and delivering operations & maintenance training materials/curricula for stormwater treatment BMPs and related infrastructure. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Experience leading design teams, scoping and cost estimating, developing schedules, and managing subconsultants. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.</li>\n <li>Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec’s total compensation package for employees.
