          "text": "<p>The Mechanical Project Engineer is a hands-on individual with the maturity and experience to drive engineering projects from start to finish. This position requires good technical, organizational and communication skills to develop material handling systems. An ideal candidate will have previous mechanical design experience broadened by recent system projects in the material handling industry. The Mechanical Project Engineer reports directly to the Mechanical Engineering Manager. In addition, he/she will work closely with Sales, Project Management, Purchasing and installation personnel on a daily basis.</p><p><strong><u>Primary Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Assist Sales in the creation of equipment proposals by providing engineering analysis and design expertise.</li><li>Assist Project Managers with system commissioning and field support.</li><li>Evaluate and understands project requirements to plan execution of components design and select system components.</li><li>Evaluate manufacturing feasibility, estimate cost, and assess maintenance requirements of a variety of material handling systems.</li><li>Design systems layout and specific components on 2D and 3D CAD equipment and software Our products could include steel structures, sheet metal parts, mechanisms and other Beumer products. Optimize for cost, functionality and manufacturability</li><li>Write specifications, user’s manuals, and enter other data to fully document engineering designs.</li><li>Coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication. Assist procurement with parts ordering and supplier selection.</li><li>Ability to coordinate the efforts between different fields of engineering, purchasing, project management and site integration</li><li>Maintain accurate records and prepare a variety of meeting notes, letters and technical reports that are clear and concise</li><li>Ability to successfully define technical scope of work for the purchase of sub-systems or components</li><li>Ability to make technical decisions for optimum end results</li><li>Ability to present technical solutions for both internal and external stake holders</li><li>Be able to take lead on multiple logistic projects at the same time.</li><li>Be able to lead project worth up to 30 mil. Preferred experience in design of automated machines and material handling capital equipment</li><li>Prefers a broad background in various machine technologies (control, pneumatic, hydraulic)</li><li>Proficient in 2D and 3D modeling CAD design programs</li><li>Ability to analyze and design basic mechanical components by applying knowledge of mechanical engineering</li><li>Ability to specify mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components</li><li>Good knowledge of drafting, dimensioning, tolerancing and manufacturing processes</li><li>Excellence in time management; attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly</li><li>Excellence in communication (both verbal and written)</li><li>Professional, positive, and have an energetic attitude-excellent interpersonal skills.
