Applications received after this date may be considered at the discretion of the search committee and/or hiring authority. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for visa sponsorship. Job Summary The School of Polymer Science and Engineering (SPSE) at The University of Southern Mississippi invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin August 2026. We seek an exceptional scholar whose research and teaching will complement and expand the School’s strengths in polymer science and engineering. Candidates with research interests in any contemporary area of polymer science and engineering are encouraged to apply. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Develop and sustain an externally funded, internationally recognized research program Deliver high-impact instruction in undergraduate and graduate courses in polymer science and engineering, fostering a dynamic and experiential learning environment. Mentor and supervise graduate and undergraduate researchers, emphasizing professional development and scholarly excellence. Contribute to the mission of the School, College, University, and broader scientific community through professional service. Perform other duties as assigned
