Department : Finance Department Reports To : Finance Manager Classification : Exempt About Rogue Credit Union : Rogue Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative headquartered in the Rogue Valley located in beautiful southern Oregon. Role : Responsible for overseeing all loan-level participant/investor accounting, remittance, and reporting. This includes, but is not limited to, overseeing monthly principal and interest (P&I), remittance, end-of-month P&I reconciliation across all consumer products and investors, ensuring all reconciliations are completed on the expected timetable. Proactively researches and resolves reconciliation issues and accurately reports on all participant/investor delinquent loans. Responsible for identifying and creating servicing procedures. As the subject matter expert on all investor reporting requirements, the finance loan analyst provides guidance and support to team members while supporting the credit union's Vision of creating the most loyal members in the nation. Essential Functions & Responsibilities : 25% Responsible for accurately reconciling all P&I custodial accounts with Investor data and Rogue Credit Union (RCU) across all loan investors/participants and designated products. Delivers reporting for additional products in a timely manner and in compliance with standards. 20% Coordinates with contacts at outside parties related to loan purchases, sales and ongoing accounting and reporting. Assists with daily and monthly reporting of loan activity from outside parties, following up if such information is inaccurate or not received on schedule. Assists with reporting related to various loan relationships. 15% Researches and resolves all reconciliation discrepancies by working cross-functionally to ensure accuracy, collaborating closely with the Accounting Department to reconcile the custodial clearing GL account and ensure all variances are fully resolved. 10% Maintains internal loan database/data files as necessary, including making programming changes as necessary. Builds and optimizes queries. Uses data analysis and modeling to identify errors and make needed corrections. Reviews reports received from vendors and adjusts the model to accommodate changes. 10% Collaborates with the Treasury Department on the purchase and sale of loan pools. Assists with the execution of loan purchases and sales. Facilitates communication with internal teams and tracks pipeline activity and provides updates to internal stakeholders on status and timelines. Responsible for monthly remittance reports to participating financial institutions purchasing the Credit Union’s loans as well as related reconciliations. 5% Reports and remits monthly payment activity to the appropriate investor and product type. Responsible for tracking and verifying remittances are disbursed as required. 5% Supports, guides, and assists other fellow team members with questions, and issues, on investor reporting requirements. Proactively identifies and creates servicing procedures. 5% Accurately reports on all investor/participant delinquent loans per the investor schedule and analyzes for discrepancies. Notifies appropriate individuals of any discrepancies needed to be corrected. Proactively provides recommendations to improve processes and improve reports. 5% Proactively performs other duties as needed or assigned. Knowledge & Skills : Experience : Five years to eight years of similar or related experience. Education : Bachelor's degree in a relevant field - Accounting, General Business, Finance, Economics or Information Technology required. Interpersonal Skills : Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. Other Skills : Basic math skills. 10-key calculator by touch. Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, SQL, database design, query optimization, data analysis, report writing has excellent skills in Excel/spreadsheet software and keyboarding. Strong organizational and time management skills, able to effectively manage the workload and meet deadlines. Thorough, good eye for detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills and telephone skills, with the ability to obtain and relay information effectively. Must display flexibility with work. Physical Requirements : Some lifting required (up to 30 pounds), continuous sitting, occasional standing, and occasional walking. Finger dexterity while using a computer. Occasionally talking and hearing in person and on the telephone. Must be able to review detailed data both on screen and on physical paper to analyze for accuracy, prepare for entry, and assess for adjustment. Continuous clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and continuous clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. Ability to drive a motor vehicle or arrange for own transportation to and from various work sites. Work Environment : This job is an exempt position that requires flexibility in scheduling tasks and projects. The employee must independently monitor the hours and judge the time needed to be spent on applicable duties. Employees must be capable of adjusting to unpredictable schedules proactively. As a direct representative of the Credit Union, the employees must conduct and present themselves courteously and professionally. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery.
