We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and strongly encourage you to apply.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>A TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING . . .</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Oversees and participates in the daily operations of the Produce and Fresh Prep department both with and in the absence of the department manager</li>\n <li>Ensures adherence to all food safety/HACCP/Sanitation Requirements</li>\n <li>Ensures all product quality, trimming, cutting and packaging specs are consistent and reliable </li>\n <li>Provides and demonstrates excellent customer service skills and behaviors</li>\n <li>Assists in the maintenance of retail price integrity & accuracy</li>\n <li>Monitors all aspects of receiving, billing, quantity, quality, grade, food safety, returns and credits for accuracy</li>\n <li>Ensures products and display areas meet or exceed “Ready for Business” standards </li>\n <li>Develops and communicates creative & aggressive merchandising plans on a weekly basis </li>\n <li>Trains new department employees & writes department schedule</li>\n <li>Leads by example  </li>\n <li>Responsible for department sales & labor budget, grosses, and reports </li>\n <li>Writes & sends orders and plans promotions, and ensures proper signage on all products</li>\n <li>Maintains inventory management procedures for the department </li>\n <li>Updates the POS department on price changes </li>\n <li>Maintains department cleanliness, product freshness, & variety </li>\n <li>Stays current with industry trends, standards and changes</li>\n <li>Stays current with all training including online training and professional development opportunities</li>\n <li>Ensures the dissemination of and adherence to all company and department policies</li>\n <li>Supports and follows sustainability programs</li>\n <li>Supports and follows all safety and security policies </li>\n <li>Demonstrates attitude of service to co-workers and customers</li>\n <li>Operates within the Company’s Core Values and Company Brand</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF . . .</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Produce/Foodservice experience preferred</li>\n <li>Must be 18 years of age</li>\n <li>Must possess an attitude of service to others</li>\n <li>Must have strong knife/cutting equipment skills and cooking/food knowledge</li>\n <li>Must have understanding of process controls, product flow and quality assurance standards</li>\n <li>Must work towards maximizing total overall store sales </li>\n <li>Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Displays excellent work ethic</li>\n <li>Flexibility to work mornings/afternoons/evenings/weekends/holidays </li>\n <li>Exemplifies health department standards </li>\n <li>Emphasis on selling and merchandising/creativity </li>\n <li>Good communication skills.
