    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">DEPARTMENT</span></p>\n<p>Transportation / Day Services / Community Services</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">REPORTS TO</span></p>\n<p>Program Director / Transportation Coordinator / Administrator</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">FLSA STATUS</span></p>\n<p>☐ Exempt  ☒ Non-Exempt</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">POSITION SUMMARY</span></p>\n<p>The Transportation Driver/Transportation Aide is responsible for safely transporting individuals served to and from day programs, medical appointments, community activities, and other approved destinations in accordance with DBHDD Community Service Standards, Medicaid NOW/COMP Waiver requirements, and A New Well, Inc. policies and procedures.</p>\n<p>This position ensures the health, safety, supervision, dignity, and rights of individuals served during all transportation activities while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with all transportation regulations.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Transportation Duties</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Safely transport individuals served to assigned destinations.</li>\n<li>Operate agency vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.</li>\n<li>Ensure all individuals are properly secured using seat belts and wheelchair restraints when applicable.</li>\n<li>Conduct passenger counts before departure, during transport transitions, and upon arrival.</li>\n<li>Assist individuals entering and exiting vehicles safely.</li>\n<li>Maintain appropriate supervision of individuals during transport.</li>\n<li>Follow approved transportation schedules and routes.</li>\n<li>Ensure individuals are never left unattended in vehicles.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Vehicle Safety &amp; Maintenance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete daily vehicle inspections prior to transporting individuals.</li>\n<li>Report vehicle maintenance concerns immediately.</li>\n<li>Ensure vehicles remain clean, sanitary, and safe.</li>\n<li>Verify vehicles contain:\n<ul>\n<li>First aid kits</li>\n<li>Fire extinguishers</li>\n<li>Emergency contact information</li>\n<li>Required insurance documentation</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Maintain fuel levels and vehicle readiness.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Documentation Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete Transportation Attendance Logs accurately and timely.</li>\n<li>Document departure and arrival times.</li>\n<li>Complete mileage and vehicle usage logs if required.</li>\n<li>Report incidents, accidents, injuries, or safety concerns immediately.</li>\n<li>Complete incident reports according to agency policy.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Emergency &amp;
