This position supports power and lighting design in a highly collaborative environment and offers flexibility in how you work.</p>\n\n<p>The Electrical Designer will contribute to projects through all phases of design, supporting construction document production, coordination, and construction administration. This role offers a clear path to increased responsibility and increased client-facing opportunities. While flexible work arrangements are available, we are seeking candidates located in the Northeast to support regional collaboration and project needs.</p>\n\n<p>HFA is employee-owned and people-powered.</p>\n\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Designer will work with Electrical Engineer and/or Electrical Design lead to communicate with client, deliver completed construction documents, and assist in construction administration as required for most project types.</li>\n\t<li>Designer should utilize education and experience to independently develop, implement, and draft construction documents for most project and/or project type (or at least major portions), as well as, solve medium to difficult design challenges that arise on a project or simple projects.</li>\n\t<li>Designer should be able to apply their knowledge of NEC and other national standards to simple projects, with minimal oversight from Electrical Engineer or Electrical Design Team Lead.</li>\n\t<li>Designer should have a basic understanding of energy codes and application to power and lighting design with oversight from Electrical Engineer or Electrical Design lead.</li>\n\t<li>Designer should have a basic understanding of photometric calculations, lighting design, fault current and be able to independently select lighting systems and controls for simple projects.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Job Duties include but are not limited to:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Designer should be proficient in AutoCAD and/or REVIT. Designer should be able to train new employees on company standards, drafting techniques, and answer basic questions on NEC and/or other national standards.</li>\n\t<li>Designer will work in a collaborative environment with Architects and other Engineers to develop construction documents based on a clients&#39; requirements, including performing project management functions, quality control, or other duties as necessary.</li>\n\t<li>Designer should be able to provide a high level of quality control on all their projects and possibly others, for final review by the Electrical Engineer or Electrical Design Lead.</li>\n\t<li>Designer will, in some cases, have some level of direct client contact.</li>\n\t<li>Designer will be able to work within established budgets.
