    "requisitionDescription": "<div><link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/23.32.33/styles/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\">&nbsp;<link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/23.32.33/styles/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"><div class=\"fr-view\"><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Salesperson-Firearms</strong></p><p>Thruway Sporting Goods is looking for qualified candidates who are familiar with fishing, firearms, hunting and shooting sports to join their team. &nbsp;</p><p>Goals</p><ul type=\"disc\"><ul type=\"circle\"><li>To provide ongoing high level of customer service.</li><li>To increase sales through service, knowledge, and sales techniques.</li><li>To provide a comfortable and friendly environment for our customers.</li></ul></ul><p>Specific duties relating to goals:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><ul type=\"circle\"><li><strong>Approach each customer with a friendly greeting</strong> when they enter the store and your department. Check back periodically with customers to<strong>&nbsp;re-engage.</strong></li><li>Make smart product suggestions to fit the needs/desire of the customers based on interaction.<ul type=\"square\"><li>Give examples of how products work, benefits of specific products and materials. Gain this knowledge through ongoing training from in-store and online resources.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Make suggestions</strong> to add on and increase the sale.</li><li>Ask the customers for feedback on products that we currently carry or items that they would like to see in the store. <strong>Share with Managers.</strong></li><li><strong>Walk the floor constantly</strong>, making sure that the area is clean and organized<ul type=\"square\"><li><strong>Vacuum, clean, dust or sweep when necessary</strong></li><li>Keep tripping hazards, boxes, tools, ladders, etc. off the sales floor</li></ul></li><li>Keep personal talk to a minimum and never engage in political or other sensitive conversations with customers.</li><li><strong>Fill in merchandise, receive shipments, maintain visual presentation, and perform other tasks as directed.</strong></li></ul></ul><p>Other required duties</p><ul type=\"disc\"><ul type=\"circle\"><li>Maintain vigilance for suspicious activity or shoplifting and inform investigations promptly when necessary.</li><li>Cover breaks or other departments when asked and run registers when necessary.</li></ul></ul><p>Position requirements</p><ul type=\"disc\"><ul type=\"circle\"><li style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><strong>Knowledge of firearms, hunting and shooting supplies is required.</strong></li><li style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><strong>New York State pistol permit is preferred</strong></li><li style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><strong>Bow technician skills highly desired</strong></li><li>Friendly, outgoing and positive attitude</li><li>Strong communication skills</li><li>Neatness and cleanliness</li><li>Ability to interact with customers, ask questions, and listen</li><li>Willingness to help in any situation</li></ul></ul><p>Organizational structure and hierarchy</p><ul type=\"disc\"><ul type=\"circle\"><li>Position will report to all members of Management.
