All employees are responsible to Ka Hana Pono: do the right thing and work in the right way.</p><p><br></p><p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p>Wait Help are responsible for reporting to store management and making sure all guests are well taken care of. The wait help position provides courteous and efficient guest service throughout the duration of the guest’s dining experience in the restaurant.</p><p>JOB FUNCTIONS</p><p>? Effectively handles assigned section by greeting guests, taking orders promptly, accurately inputting orders into the POS, processes guest checks and payments properly.</p><p>? Efficiently serves food to guest, refills drinks for guests, and busses tables promptly after guests leave.</p><p>? Is knowledgeable and can describe menu items, ongoing promotions and special menu items proficiently. Answers guest inquiries in a purposeful manner.</p><p>? Maintains a constant flow of communication with kitchen staff and informs guests of their order status.</p><p>? Prepare and serve beverages and desserts.</p><p>? Maintains a safe and sanitary work and guest area through constant cleaning, organizing, and replenishing of necessary items.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>? Performs other duties as assigned by management.</p><p><br></p><p>QUALIFICATIONS</p><p>Scheduling:</p><p>? Meets assigned shift requirements.</p><p>Physical Activity:</p><p>? Regularly push, pull, and carry objects.</p><p>? Stand and walk on foot at least 6-8 hours.</p><p>? Reach at shoulder level and below waist constantly, above head occasionally.</p><p>? Bending downward or forward at waist or knees occasionally.</p><p>? Talk and listen to communicate instructions.</p><p>Physical Requirements:</p><p>? Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force.</p><p>Visual Requirements:</p><p>? Able to visualize accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.</p><p>? Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.</p><p>Pre-Employment Requirements:</p><p>? Passed a tuberculosis (TB) skin test within 12 months of the date of hire OR</p><p>Dated/Issued at the age of 16 or older.</p><p>? Pass a drug screening test.</p><p>Environmental Conditions:</p><p>? Works in an air-conditioned environment.</p><p>Education:</p><p>? High school diploma or equivalent preferred.</p><p>Experience:</p><p>? Previous cash handling preferred.</p><p>? Minimum of 1 year experience as a host or server preferred.</p><p>Necessary Skills:</p><p>? Basic math and writing.</p><p>? Able to interact with guests and co-workers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.</p><p>? Able to work independently or as part of a team.</p><p>?
