The ideal candidate is reliable, professional, culturally sensitive, and committed to delivering safe and supportive transportation for patients and their families.</p>\n\n<p>Position Overview</p>\n\n<p>This role provides patient transportation using JHC vehicles in a safe, timely, and professional manner. The Transportation Driver ensures compliance with all traffic laws, clinic policies, and confidentiality regulations while supporting a respectful and supportive environment for patients.</p>\n\n<p>Schedule</p>\n\n<p>Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and Saturdays, 5:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with varied hours and days based on operational needs.</p>\n\n<p>Essential Functions</p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Transport patients, including children when applicable, to and from designated locations in a timely manner using JHC vehicles</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Ensure all transportation is completed safely and in compliance with traffic laws and regulations</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Instruct passengers on required safety precautions while in JHC vehicles</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Maintain compliance with child safety requirements at all times</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Communicate effectively with patients and staff to support quality service delivery</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Provide calm, respectful support to patients and families while maintaining cultural sensitivity</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Follow established procedures for transporting supplies and laboratory specimens</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Operate wheelchair lifts safely and according to protocol</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Maintain appropriate vehicle conduct and report any concerns to management</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Complete daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Report delays, incidents, or accidents immediately to the Transportation Manager</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Perform additional duties as assigned</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Follow all JHC policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements</p>\n\t</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p>Requirements</p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Must be 21 years of age or older</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>High school diploma or GED required</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Minimum five (5) years of verifiable driving experience with a clean driving record and Washington State DOL driver abstract</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>At least one (1) year of experience in medical transport, passenger transport, emergency vehicle operation, military service, or related field</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Ability to safely transport passengers, including children, and secure child safety seats per Washington State law</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Comfortable driving in adverse weather conditions</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Ability to remain professional in high-stress or unusual situations</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Experience working with individuals in recovery, experiencing mental health conditions, or facing housing instability</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Strong communication and conflict resolution skills</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>CPR/First Aid certification or ability to complete upon hire</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Must pass background check and meet vaccination requirements</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Valid Washington State Driver&rsquo;s License with ability to travel locally and regionally</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations</p>\n\t</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p>Preferred Qualifications</p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>American Indian/Alaska Native preferences apply</p>\n\t</li>\n</ul>\n",
