Currently seeking EXCAVATOR Operators for our roadway project in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina (Cornelius). &nbsp;</span></strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(209, 72, 65);\"><strong><u>Excavator Operators with PIPE LAYING/TRENCH BOX/UTILITY experience are preferred.</u></strong></span></span></p><p>The heavy equipment operator operates a variety of contractor equipment and properly maintains the equipment on a daily basis. &nbsp;</p><p><span style='font-family: \"arial black\", sans-serif; color: rgb(235, 107, 86);'>Starting pay is based on skills and experience.</span></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Works with and assists in digging ditches and trenches, hoisting material, tools, equipment, and any related work with a backhoe, road grader or front-end loader.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to the supervisor.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.</p><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibility</strong></p><p>This position has no supervisory responsibilities.</p><p><strong>Position Type and Expected Hours of Work</strong></p><p>This is a full-time position. Normal days and hours of work are Monday &ndash; Friday, with time provided for lunch, hours may vary. Work may be local or out of town in which case overnight stays are required.
