We will help pay for your continued education and even help pay off your student loans!</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>Devereux Florida provides intervention services for families in crisis who are referred by the Department of Children and Families, to provide them with resources and assistance to prevent children from entering the foster care system.  Our goal is to create communities without abuse, neglect or abandonment, while helping parents or caregivers who may otherwise have no support or guidance. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Family Advocate is a field-based position that assists the Case Manager to implement Safety Services and Support Plans.  It provides direct support and assistance to parents and their children in their homes or in community-based settings.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Services include, but are not limited to:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Immediate Family Engagement</li>\n <li>24/7 Crisis Response</li>\n <li>Professional team approach to family preservation</li>\n <li>Skills Training</li>\n <li>Intensive Case Management</li>\n <li>Hands-on assistance to help manage the danger threats in the home.</li>\n <li>Provide ongoing resource support (food, housing, clothing, medical, daycare, counseling, etc.)</li>\n <li>Transportation to appointments as appropriate</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position plays a critical role in ensuring that families have the resources they need to quickly stabilize and build into strong, healthy and safe households, where children can excel and grow into confident and productive individuals.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Details:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Salary: Starts at $17.50 - $19.95 / hr<em> </em></strong>(rate is based on education and relevant experience). <em><strong>This is a position is eligible for up to a $2,000 sign-on bonus.</strong></em></p>\n<p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Full time; Flexible schedule; <strong>this is NOT a 9-5 position</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Location: </strong>This position is based out of Daytona, FL: providing field-based services throughout Volusia County.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits and Rewards</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Up to 24 PTO days/year (increases with service)</li>\n <li>Up to 64 hours of sick time</li>\n <li>Low-cost medical, dental, vision Devereux Benefits </li>\n <li>403(b) retirement plan</li>\n <li>ASCEND Tuition Program</li>\n <li>Student loan repayment assistance</li>\n <li>Payactiv: Access your earned wages early</li>\n <li>Employee Assistance Program & Discounts</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>See what it's like to work for our Family Builders Program!</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em></em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent <em>required</em></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>1+ years working with at-risk children and families, child welfare, case management, social work, direct support, or related <em>required</em></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Other Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid, unrestricted driver's license required</li>\n <li>Must be at least 21 years of age or older.</li>\n <li>Must be able to complete a 3-day new hire orientation class via MSTeams; hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day</li>\n <li>Flexibility to train and/or provide coverage if needed at other Family Builders work locations such as in Deland, Daytona Beach or Palatka, FL.</li>\n <li>Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test and TB Test. </li>\n <li>Successfully pass a Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida.
