Join us in making a real difference in the health of our community.</em></p>\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Addiction Medicine Medical Director to join our OASAS-certified outpatient treatment program. The ideal candidate will provide patient-centered, evidence-based care for individuals with substance use disorders, ensuring compliance with OASAS regulations and organizational policies.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In addition to direct patient care, this role will also include community outreach and business development initiatives to strengthen partnerships, expand referral networks, and promote clinic services within the community.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Provide clinical leadership to the team, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.</p>\n<p>· Oversee program performance metrics, including patient outcomes, retention, and satisfaction, and implement strategies to improve quality of care, operational efficiency and growth of the program.</p>\n<p>· Evaluate, prescribe, monitor medication-assisted treatment (MAT) in accordance with OASAS guidelines.</p>\n<p>· Monitor patients for withdrawal symptoms, side effects, and medication adherence.</p>\n<p>· Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with counseling staff.</p>\n<p>· Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) per OASAS and facility standards.</p>\n<p>· Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team</p>\n<p>· Provide patient education on substance use disorders, relapse prevention, and harm reduction strategies.</p>\n<p>· Ensure compliance with state, federal, and OASAS regulations, including all reporting requirements.</p>\n<p>· Participate in case conferences, quality assurance activities, and staff training.</p>\n<p>· Maintain current knowledge of addiction medicine best practices, emerging treatments, and regulatory updates.</p>\n<p>· Develop and maintain relationships with local organizations, hospitals, treatment centers, and community agencies to promote clinic services and generate patient referrals.</p>\n<p>· Engage in business development activities such as representing the clinic at community events, professional meetings, and outreach programs to increase visibility and strengthen referral pipelines.</p>\n<p>· Provider educational sessions</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>· MD or DO with active New York State license.</p><p>· Board Certified in Addiction Medicine</p><p>· Minimum 2 years of experience in addiction medicine or related clinical setting preferred.</p><p>· Knowledge of OASAS regulations and familiarity with NYS substance use treatment systems.</p><p>· Strong communication, clinical assessment, crisis intervention, and networking/relationship-building skills.</p><p>· Commitment to patient-centered, stigma-free care.</p><p>· Bilingual a plus, Spanish preferred</p><p>Work Environment</p><p>· Setting: Outpatient OASAS-certified clinic.</p><p>· Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.</p><p>· May require occasional travel between program sites, outreach events, or trainings.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>The salary for:FT -  $250K/yearHourly- $130/hour - Max. 20 hours a week \n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>\n<p><strong><em>Essen Health care is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we seek candidates who desire to work in and serve an ethnically diverse population.</em></strong></p>",
