This is a benefit-eligible position that is currently at 60% FTE. \\n\\n \\n\\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\\n\\n\\n\\tTeach 4 hours a week, middle school science with a focus on teaching the scientific method and supervising individual science projects in areas of student interest; depending on expertise, projects could draw from topics in environmental science and incorporate field work on the Gann campus that is home to the Gann Farm and located close to many beautiful nature preserves \\n\\tSupervise an additional 2-4 hours of physical wellness class, taking middle school students outside as much as possible, supervising students on the Gann Farm, supervising sports and physical exercise outside, including local hikes, walking, frisbee, football, basketball, etc. \\n\\tSupervise a small cohort of middle school students for an additional 1-2 hours a week during student clubs, student wellness, and student activities\\n\\n\\nNote: This position requires someone to be on campus 10-12 hours a week at different times during the day.
