This hands‑on role is well‑suited for a dependable individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a community of more than 800 residents. As a live‑in team member, you’ll support day‑to‑day cleaning operations and help ensure shared spaces remain clean, comfortable, and welcoming for residents.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Living at Avalon Park means enjoying the comfort and convenience of a well‑connected Ottawa community. Easy access to OC Transpo bus routes and the St. Laurent O‑Train Line 1 station makes getting around the city simple and convenient.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p>In addition to the responsibilities typically expected of a cleaning professional, responsibilities will include;</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.</li>\n<li>Clean and sanitize bathrooms, laundry rooms, and common areas to ensure high hygiene standards.</li>\n<li>Empty garbage and ensure that waste is disposed of safely and properly.</li>\n<li>Perform occasional deep cleaning including scrubbing baseboards, cleaning appliances, and refinishing floors.</li>\n<li>Respond to any cleaning work orders submitted by the property management team.</li>\n<li>Occasionally engage in snow removal during winter months.</li>\n<li>Report any maintenance or repair issues to the property operations team.</li>\n<li>Follow all safety protocols and use all assigned personal protective equipment appropriately.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience in commercial or residential cleaning, janitorial services, or housekeeping is considered a strong asset, but is not required.</li>\n<li>Comfortable working both independently and part of a team.</li>\n<li>Ability to perform a variety of repetitive physical tasks, including bending, kneeling, lifting, and walking for extended periods of time.</li>\n<li>Basic English verbal communication skills.</li>\n<li>Friendly, respectable, and community-minded with strong interpersonal skills.</li>\n<li>Successful completion of a criminal record check.</li>\n<li>Ability to provide professional references and have a proven record of reliable work attendance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional Details</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>All work will be completed at Avalon Park; located at 2470 Southvale Crescent, Ottawa.</li>\n<li>This role requires participation in an on-call rotation schedule.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Final compensation for this role will be determined based on the successful candidates’ skills, experience, and other job-related requirements.
