    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Purpose</span></p>\n<p>This position has primary responsibility for providing leadership and direction in the areas of theory and laboratory activities of the specific instructional components relating to the students’ educational goals.  Instructors develop curriculum and materials that respond to the workplace competencies for employment as an outcome for students.  The instructor is directly responsible to the Dean of Instruction.  General responsibilities include academic instruction with students, advising students, planning, leadership and professional involvement including professional associations and community service.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Minimum Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required</li>\n<li>Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field required, depending on the field</li>\n<li>Master’s Degree in the field or Master’s Degree plus 18 graduate hours in the field for General Education Instructors</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>2 years of work experience in specific occupational field </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Required knowledge in operation of related instructional equipment</li>\n<li>Desire to teach students through the teaching-learning process  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledgeable of the availability of teaching-learning resources</li>\n<li>Good oral/verbal communication skills</li>\n<li>Basic computer knowledge/skills required</li>\n<li>Employment is dependent on a pre-employment background screening</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><br></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">     Shop Areas</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be able to lift and handle 75 pounds, also able to push/pull up to 10-25 lbs. frequently</li>\n<li>Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and frequently climb stairs, ladders, crouch, squat or crawl</li>\n<li>Will use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls</li>\n<li>Potential/frequent exposure to and use of chemical products</li>\n<li>Frequent use of power tools</li>\n<li>Occasionally work in extremely hot or extremely cold conditions, and movement between hot and cold environments occasionally</li>\n<li>Possible stress due to deadlines and/or dealing with unpleasant or angry people</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>   <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">General Education</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit;
