Apply today! </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Project Planning:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Collaborate with clients or stakeholders to understand project objectives and requirements. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Identify potential challenges and risks and develop mitigation strategies. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Team Management: </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Recruit, train, and supervise survey teams. </li>\n <li>Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members. </li>\n <li>Provide guidance and support to team members throughout the project. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Data Collection:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Determine the appropriate survey methods and tools for data collection (e.g., questionnaires, GPS, total stations, LiDAR, etc.). </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure data collection procedures are carried out accurately and efficiently. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Quality Control: </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Implement quality control measures to maintain data accuracy and consistency. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Review survey data for errors and discrepancies and take corrective actions as needed. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Data Analysis:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Oversee data analysis and interpretation to draw meaningful insights from survey results. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Collaborate with data analysts or specialists as necessary. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Report Generation:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare comprehensive survey reports that present findings, conclusions, and recommendations. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure reports are clear, accurate, and meet client or regulatory requirements. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Regulatory Compliance:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Obtain necessary permits and approvals for survey projects. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Budget Management:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitor project budgets and expenditures. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage project finances effectively. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Client Communication:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain regular communication with clients or project stakeholders to provide updates and address their concerns. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Address any client requests or changes in project scope. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Documentation:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain organized project documentation, including field notes, data records, and project files. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Technology and Equipment:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Stay current with surveying technology and equipment. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure that surveying tools and software are up to date and functioning properly. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Safety and Environmental Compliance:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Promote and enforce safety procedures to protect the well-being of survey team members and the environment. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Our Survey Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of survey projects, providing accurate data for decision-making, and meeting client expectations. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and effective communication. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., surveying, geomatics, geography, civil engineering, etc.). </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Professional licensure or certification, preferred a CA PLS Licensure </li>\n <li>Proven experience in surveying, with a track record of managing survey projects. </li>\n <li>Being able to work in a complex and fluid operating environment</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of surveying methods, equipment, and software. </li>\n <li>Excellent project management and organizational skills. </li>\n <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills. </li>\n <li>Proficiency in data analysis and reporting. </li>\n <li>Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and safety protocols. </li>\n <li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>The pay range for this California position is <strong>$150,000 - $180,000 per year</strong>; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per California Senate Bill 1162. Base pay information is based on market location.
