In addition, Cost Accountant will support financial forecasting and budgeting for the strategic decision-making across the organization.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p><ul><li>Construct data accumulation systems for cost accounting systems.&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle count and develop process to ensure obsolete inventory has adequate provisions.</li><li>Validate cost of goods sold as part of the month end close.</li><li>Review standard costs and actual costs for inaccuracies.&nbsp;</li><li>Calculate monthly detail of all manufacturing variances and report issues to Production VP/CFO in a timely manner.</li><li>Undertake capital evaluations for new projects and fixed asset control</li><li>Assist in the company&rsquo;s monthly, quarterly and yearly closing.</li><li>Work with CFO and support the company forecasting activities and annual budgeting process.</li><li>Implement&nbsp;automation throughout the Accounting departments to improve accuracy and efficiency.</li><li>Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate&nbsp;in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Other Duties and Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Investigate physical inventory variances and
