Description

The Project Manager – Land Development at The Viera Company is responsible for leading land development projects from early planning through construction and close‑out, playing a key role in delivering well‑designed, high‑quality communities. This position provides full project ownership—managing schedules, budgets, permitting, compliance, and construction activities while ensuring projects meet quality standards and business objectives.   Own end ‑ to ‑ end delivery of assigned land development projects, managing planning, permitting, budgets, schedules, construction, and cross ‑ functional teams to deliver on time, on budget, and to quality standards. Maintain project documentation and reporting, preparing contracts, notices, schedules, financials, and status updates to ensure organization, compliance, and clear stakeholder communication. Manage permitting, platting, and regulatory compliance, coordinating with agencies, consultants, and internal teams to secure approvals and oversee NPDES and stormwater requirements. Monitor on ‑ site execution and project close ‑ out through site visits, inspections, and field issue resolution in coordination with Construction, consultants, and senior leadership. Coordinate stakeholders, utilities, and project turnovers, resolving issues, managing dry utilities, and supporting community and agency handoffs. Identify, escalate, and resolve project risks and compliance issues, overseeing construction testing and partnering with leadership and project teams to maintain smooth execution. Support senior leadership by coordinating schedules, documentation, and development status reporting, and preparing clear illustrations, tables, and maps.
