We are looking for passionate, driven individuals to join our team focused on <em>Delivering Solutions and Improving Lives</em>.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>The successful candidate will plan, administer and design mechanical HVAC, energy and plumbing projects</li>\n <li>Review work for the application of sound professional judgment and code compliance</li>\n <li>Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction; ensure client objectives are met</li>\n <li>Responsible for marketing, writing proposals, winning work, maintaining and developing key client relationships</li>\n <li>Participate in client-rich professional organizations and functions</li>\n <li>Train and mentor young professionals</li>\n <li>Perform design and energy calculations and prepare equipment or material specifications</li>\n <li>Familiar with the AE design process and specifications leading to construction documents</li>\n <li>Prepare graphical representations of designs</li>\n <li>Assignments require the investigation of a limited number of variables and supervisory assistance is provided on unusual problems</li>\n <li>May supervise or coordinate the work of designers and other technical support personnel</li>\n <li>Experience in the design of commercial, industrial, educational, and governmental buildings, small industrial plants and warehouses, central chilled water and heating plants</li>\n <li>Experience performing field work, including identification of equipment</li>\n <li>Experience carrying project from Notice-To-Proceed through Construction Documents through Construction Administration, including participating in project and review meetings</li>\n <li>Other duties may be assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 7 years of mechanical engineering experience with a background in HVAC, plumbing, controls, and energy design. Fire protection design a plus.</li>\n <li>A minimum of 2 years experience managing tasks, and small projects</li>\n <li>Solid understanding of mechanical design and construction standards</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience in the design of commercial, industrial, educational, and governmental buildings, small industrial plants and warehouses, central chilled water and heating plants</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of applicable mechanical, plumbing and energy design codes</li>\n <li>Experience in leading mechanical design team thru project</li>\n <li>Project Management experience a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Licenses and Certifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>NM PE required or obtainable; licenses in other states a plus; Fire Protection PE a plus</li>\n <li>Professional registration in New Mexico required or obtainable</li>\n <li>Valid NM drivers’ license required; must meet company insurability requirements</li>\n</ul>\n<p>NV5 offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, PTO, 401(k) and professional development/advancement opportunities.</p>",
