Accepts and consistently demonstrates the YMCA’s Core Values. Has complete knowledge of all emergency procedures. Assists with planning, supervision, and implementation of programs. Documents attendance and emergency information for each participant. Provides set‑up, upkeep, and tear‑down of the Teen Center and/ or designated program areas. Maintains quality and appropriate use of supplies, materials, and equipment. Maintains a professional attitude and loyalty to the organization. Leads and monitors program activities to ensure a safe, engaging environment for participants. Opening shift: 5:00am - 10:00am Day shift: 10:00am - 3:00pm Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/ or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 18 years old and have 2 years’ experience working with teens (21 years preferred). Possesses good human relation skills with parents, peers and other staff. Enjoys teenagers and has the ability to interact and communicate with them effectively. Demonstrates good moral character. Has leadership experience with youth groups and knowledge of group work principles and processes. Utilizes age-appropriate behavior management techniques with participants and models appropriate behavior. Displays good organizational skills related to handling paperwork and maintaining materials in a neat and orderly manner.
