    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Schedule:</strong> PRN</p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> Winn Army Community Hospital</p>\n<p><strong>Pay rate:</strong> $50/hr & $4.57*/hr for health & wellness pay (in lieu of benefits)</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness. Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF.</li>\n <li>Admit and help in arranging transfer of patients.</li>\n <li>Screens patient to determine injury/illness.</li>\n <li>Conduct limited medical history interviews; observes or determines changes objective and subjective symptoms and records and reports.</li>\n <li>Attend and participate in: inpatient nursing reports, patient care conferences, team conferences, professional staff conferences, and other appropriate professional activities as determined by the Chief, Department of Nursing or other designated representative approved by the Contracting Officer.</li>\n <li>Obtain and prepare for analysis blood specimens, urine speciments, stool specimens, and culture specimens.</li>\n <li>Perform venipuncture.</li>\n <li>Perform procedures; Urethral swabs, glucometer, dextrostix, guaiac stool and radial puncture. </li>\n <li>Assists with treatment of patients with: Common diseases/communicable diseases, minor injuries, contract poisons, bites or stings, serious acute illness, and minor burns.</li>\n <li>Assists with IV therapy, administers IV fluids, maintains IV fluids rate and administers blood products.</li>\n <li>Performs CPR.</li>\n <li>Controls bleeding.</li>\n <li>Assists in intubations and monitor of ET tube.</li>\n <li>Maintains and operates pulse oximeter, Dynamap, infusion pumps, blood warmer, EKG machine, defibrillator, monitor.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Degree/Education:</strong> Registered Nurse shall have an Associate’s degree, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, or graduate level degree from a program that provides a diploma or degree in nursing from a National League of Nursing (NLN) /American Education Service (AES) accredited school.   </li>\n <li><strong>Education:</strong> Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or as otherwise identified in the TO.</li>\n <li><strong>Experience: </strong>Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience with in the last three (3) years working in an Emergency room. Must possess knowledge of trauma process, triage and a variety of emergent and semi-emergent techniques. </li>\n <li><strong>Certifications:</strong> Possess and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) , Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certifications.
