    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p><strong>Summary Purpose of the Position</strong></p><p id=\"isPasted\">Consult with the Early Childhood Education Coordinator in the development, planning and execution of the daily educational classroom activities in accordance with PA Early Learning Standards and the PathStone Plan of Action to meet the needs of the individual child. &nbsp; Must have current physical exam, mantoux tuberculosis screening, and clearances.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements (Education, Experience, Certification, Knowledge, Skill)</strong></p><p>Bachelor or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Child and Family Development Studies or Special Education and 2 years experience working with children ages 6 weeks through 5 years. &nbsp;</p><p>ECE PA State Certification.</p><p>Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.</p><p>Bilingual preferred (English/language of majority of families in program).</p><p>Must have current physical exam, mantoux tuberculosis screening, and clearances.</p><p><strong><br></strong></p><p><strong>Position Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Plan and maintain, working with the Assistant Teacher, a developmentally appropriate, safe, and healthy classroom environment for the age group of children to which they are assigned in accordance with the Pre-K Counts Regulations and the Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale (ECERS).</p><p>Maintain interaction with children throughout the day.</p><p>Complete child Work Sampling data and prepare required reports.&nbsp;</p><p>Complete reports, required forms, and documentation within mandated timelines.</p><p>Maintain and update children&rsquo;s records.</p><p>Notify supervisor immediately of any accidents/incidents relating to children, parents, or staff.</p><p>Attend all mandated trainings and meetings.</p><p>Conduct 2 home visits and 2 parent/teacher conferences during the program year. Review assessment and outcome data with parents.&nbsp;</p><p>Incorporate parent input into child plans.</p><p>Analyze child outcome data to create optimum learning environment for each child.</p><p>Develop and implement individual child planning activities.</p><p>Develop an understanding of local, state, federal, and agency policies.&nbsp;</p><p>Maintain mandated staff/child ratios at all times.</p><p>Implement School Readiness Plan.</p><p>Maintain an open door policy and encourage parent participation in the classroom daily activities.&nbsp;</p><p>Provide Parent/Child activities based on individual needs of the child.</p><p>Include activities recommended by the mental health consultant, the Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Individual Family Services Plan (IFSP), Pre-K Counts Program Specialist and ECERS Assessor.</p><p>Participate in staffing for suspected/identified children with special needs.&nbsp;</p><p>Adhere to established Work Plan and update as necessary or directed by Supervisor.</p><p>Adhere to PathStone&rsquo;s Confidentiality Policy.</p><p>Adhere to PathStone&rsquo;s Child Abuse and Neglect Policy.</p><p>Adhere to PathStone&rsquo;s Positive Discipline Policy.</p><p>Assist in the physical maintenance and care of center facility such as sweeping, mopping, sanitizing and garbage disposal.</p><p>Perform other job related duties as required or assigned.</p><p><strong><br></strong></p><p><strong>Working Conditions/Environment</strong></p><p>Must be able to work flexible hours (some evening and week-end).&nbsp;</p><p>Must be able to travel into rural areas. &nbsp;</p><p>Must be able to work with cleaning products such as bleach and disinfectants.&nbsp;</p><p>Moderate exposure to disease agents. &nbsp;</p><p>Includes outdoor work.&nbsp;</p><p>Position must frequently bend and lift up to 60 pounds.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Transportation Requirement</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Position requires automobile, driver&rsquo;s license and insurance.</p></div>\n",
