As an Assistant Superintendent, you will support project success through hands-on, on-site execution while developing the skills and leadership to run projects independently. CORE VALUES THAT GUIDE EVERY DECISION: DO  the right thing BUILD  lifelong relationships BE FAIR  to everyone SELL  performance ENJOY  a work family culture KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Execution & Communication Must be reliable and follow through on commitments made Support the Superintendent and Project Manager in driving daily progress and meeting schedule milestones Actively participate in daily huddles and weekly subcontractor meetings — prepared, engaged, and ready to contribute Respond to all communications within 24 hours — maintaining our commitment to responsiveness Build positive relationships with trade partners, inspectors, and project stakeholders through fair, respectful interaction Communicate field conditions, progress, and issues clearly and proactively to the Superintendent LEAN Construction Implementation Embrace and contribute to a continuous improvement culture on every project Assist with initial drawing scrubs for constructability reviews and flag potential issues early Conduct regular quality control walks to confirm design adherence and meet RGGC quality expectations Participate in pull planning sessions with trade partners and help track commitments Help build and maintain 3-week look-ahead schedules through consistent coordination with trade partners Implement and maintain our 6S System: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety Support constraint identification and resolution through visual management tools Safety Leadership Champion our unwavering commitment to safety — it’s everyone’s responsibility, especially yours Help lead weekly safety meetings focused on continuous improvement Collaborate with our safety team on audits, toolbox talks, and best practices Help maintain site-specific safety plans and ensure 100% PPE compliance Reinforce a culture where everyone has “Stop Work” authority for safety concerns Project Support & Development Study and understand contract documents, specifications, and addenda Coordinate with trade partners on day-to-day field activities, logistics, and sequencing Maintain as-built drawings in Procore throughout the project Support quality control through our 3-stage verification process Assist in coordinating inspections with precision and preparation Take ownership of assigned scopes or project areas with increasing independence WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE: Self-starter who sees what needs to be done and does it without waiting to be asked Demonstrates a genuine desire to learn the business of building, not just show up Earns the trust of the Superintendent, trade partners, and clients through reliability and follow-through Keeps a job site that is clean, organized, and reflects RGGC standards before anyone has to say a word Asks smart questions, takes detailed notes, and doesn’t repeat mistakes Shows the leadership potential and work ethic to grow into a Superintendent role at RGGC TECHNOLOGY & TOOLS: Procore proficiency (or willingness to master it quickly) for project management and documentation Leading-edge construction technology at your fingertips Access to Lean Construction Institute resources and training GROWTH & BENEFITS: A clear development path toward Superintendent with mentorship from experienced leaders Work on diverse projects that accelerate your expertise Supportive leadership that empowers without micromanaging Paid volunteer time to give back to causes you’re passionate about Fully covered employee healthcare 401K with company match Continuing education reimbursement IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS: 2+ years of field experience in commercial construction Experience in leadership roles Ability to read drawings OSHA certifications (or willingness to obtain immediately) Exposure to or interest in historic renovation and ground-up construction Previous experience in carpentry or hands-on building knowledge strongly preferred Familiarity with LEAN construction practices or a genuine eagerness to learn Individual sense of urgency to drive progress Ownership mentality — you treat the jobsite like it’s yours JOIN A LEGACY OF EXCELLENCE Since Hurricane Katrina, we’ve proven that construction can be transformative — for our clients, our community, and our team members.
