    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Utility Assistant - Fleet Services Mechanic</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Note:</strong>&nbsp;Current and future vacancies potentially in Birmingham, Calera, Anniston, Dothan, Eufaula, Jasper, Mobile, Montgomery, and Tuscaloosa.</p>\n<p>Fleet Mechanic Utility Assistants support in the maintenance of all light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles/equipment. This includes routine and preventive maintenance, light fabrication, and troubleshooting and systematic problem detection of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and A/C systems. Candidates must be available for overtime, call-out, weekends and holidays as needed. The work locations for non-traveling Utility Assistants would be at a garage across our six (6) Divisions. For traveling jobs, you would travel throughout the bottom two-thirds of the state, away from home Monday through Thursday each week.</p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:13.5pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; High School diploma with a 2-year Technical Degree in Automotive Technology highly desired</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:13.5pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; ASE or welding certification preferred</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:13.5pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 2 years of experience in automotive maintenance field</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:13.5pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Knowledge of light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles; Experience with hydraulics and diesel engines preferred</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:13.5pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ability to perform physically demanding activities while working in all type of temperature extremes</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:13.5pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Job requires candidates to bend, kneel, crawl, stoop and stand for long periods of time</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:13.5pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Individuals also must demonstrate the ability and desire to work safely and display ethical behavior at all times</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:13.5pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Shifts: Non-traveling positions could work either day or evening shift/ Day shift 7am-3:30pm / Night shift 3pm-1:30am/ (must be available for overtime, call out, weekends and holidays as required) / Traveling positions work 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday</p>\n<p><strong>Requirements for employment as a FLEET MECHANIC UTILITY ASSISTANT include:</strong></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:13.5pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Must be at least 18 years of age</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:13.5pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Possess a valid driver's license</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:13.5pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ability to obtain and/or hold CDL license</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:13.5pt\">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Available to work overtime, call out, weekends and holidays as required</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Pay for a FLEET MECHANIC UTILITY ASSISTANT position is based on an hourly rate with possible overtime pay.
