Every team member at Plasmidsaurus plays a crucial role in driving the future of biotech research. Together, we are building the world’s most efficient sequencing engine that operates overnight, scales globally, and helps scientists make breakthroughs faster than ever before. This position requires 50%+ travel, primarily in the MidAtlantic region. Candidates must be located in the greater New York city, New Jersey or Philadelphia region. Your Role The Sales Account Manager will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our market share in the sequencing industry across the Mid Atlantic territory. This position requires a deep understanding of sequencing technologies, exceptional sales skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key clients. The ideal candidate will be a proven operator who thinks strategically about a book of business and brings a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. We're looking for someone: Who has experience selling to Academic, Biotech, and Government accounts and 5+ years of relevant experience directly in the sequencing industry. With a proven track record of success in account management, exceeding targets and driving revenue growth. Who has strong familiarity with most common Sequencing, Synthetic Biology, cell and gene therapies, and molecular biology lab techniques. Who can identify and pursue new business opportunities, generate leads, and convert them into successful sales through a consultative approach. Who has a demonstrated history of devising and implementing successful strategies utilizing a consultative approach in customer interactions, resulting in measurable and impactful outcomes. Who has negotiation skills, both in written and oral communication, coupled with presentation abilities. Proven track record of collaborating seamlessly with key stakeholders across internal and external organizations. Proficient in maintaining and organizing opportunity pipelines, tasks, and events using CRM tools such as Hubspot, Salesforce, or similar platforms. Who has excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams. Who has a strong track record of both finding and closing new opportunities and being able to maintain current customer relationships. Who is self-motivated with a strong drive for results. Who has a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences). This is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania or North Carolina. Working Conditions/ Schedule Requires the ability and willingness to travel within the assigned territory for customer meetings, internal business gatherings, seminars, and conferences. Additionally, occasional travel outside of the assigned territory may be expected.
