You’ll take the lead on repairs, preventative maintenance, and service requests—while guiding and mentoring the maintenance team.</p><p>This is the ideal role for a skilled technician ready to take ownership of a property and grow into a leadership role. We promote from within, and many of our Maintenance Supervisors and Regional Service Managers began in this position.</p><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and perform daily maintenance operations including service requests, unit turns, and inspections</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues</li><li>Ensure the property meets safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal standards</li><li>Order and manage parts and supply inventory within budget</li><li>Train and support Assistant Maintenance Technicians</li><li>Coordinate vendor work and supervise contracted repairs</li><li>Participate in the on-call rotation and handle emergency maintenance situations</li><li>Communicate with the Property Manager to align maintenance efforts with community goals</li></ul><p><strong>What You’ll Need to Succeed</strong></p><p><strong>Required:</strong></p><ul><li>2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in multifamily or related field</li><li>Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, and carpentry</li><li>Ability to lead a team and work independently</li><li>Availability to work Saturdays (closed Sundays) and participate in on-call rotation</li><li>Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p><ul><li>EPA or HVAC certification</li><li>Experience using Entrata or similar property management software</li><li>Bilingual abilities</li></ul><p><strong>What You’ll Get</strong><br>CAF offers one of the most competitive benefits packages in the industry—because we believe when we take care of you, you can take care of everything else.</p><ul><li>Commission opportunities based on performance</li><li>15 Paid Holidays (including CAF Impact Day)</li><li>PTO based on tenure:</li><li>0–4 years: 15 days</li><li>5–9 years: 20 days</li><li>10–14 years: 25 days</li><li>15+ years: 30 days</li><li>3 Flex Days per year</li><li>Medical, Dental &amp; Vision (employee medical starts at $65/month)</li><li>401(k) + Roth IRA with company contributions (after 6 months)</li><li>Paid Parental Leave (10 days)</li><li>30–50% Employee Housing Discount (after 30 days, if applicable)</li><li>Recognition programs and a people-first culture</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong><br>This role involves regular physical activity throughout the apartment community. Team members must be able to safely perform the following tasks:</p><ul><li><strong>On your feet:</strong> 33% to 100% of the time</li><li><strong>Physical activities (50% to 100%):</strong></li><li>Bend/stoop/squat/kneel (e.g., repairs, inspections, and installations)</li><li>Climb stairs and ladders (e.g., access rooftops, attics, or elevated areas)</li><li>Push/pull, stand, and walk (e.g., transport tools, materials, and equipment)</li><li>Reach above shoulders (e.g., HVAC units, light fixtures, shelving)</li><li>Grasp/grip/turn and use finger dexterity (e.g., using hand tools, locks, and fasteners)</li><li><strong>Lifting/Carrying:</strong></li><li>Over 50 lbs: Rare need (less than 1%)</li><li>10–25 lbs: Occasional need (1% to 33%)</li><li>Under 10 lbs: Frequent need (33% to 100%)</li></ul><p><strong>Grow With a Company That Invests in You</strong><br>We believe in growing our people from within.
