    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>The <strong>Senior Engineer, Stay Experiences &amp; Technical Operations&nbsp;</strong>is responsible for the technical design, validation, and operational readiness of Digital Guest Experience solutions across global hotel environments. This role ensures that solutions such as Digital Check-in, Digital Key, Messaging, and In-Room technologies are feasible, scalable, and stable across a highly variable hotel infrastructure landscape.</p><p>This individual serves as a senior technical contributor, partnering closely with Product, Architecture, Vendors, and Regional teams to assess readiness, support deployments, resolve complex technical issues, and drive ongoing improvements in system reliability and performance.</p><p>This role plays a critical part in bridging product ambition with real-world hotel technical realities.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Your Day to Day</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Technical Readiness &amp; Solution Validation: Assess and validate the technical readiness, feasibility, and scalability of Digital Guest Experience solutions across diverse hotel environments.</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Solution Design &amp; Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, integration flows, configuration standards, and system dependency mappings for Stay solutions.</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Production Support &amp; Incident Management: Serve as an escalation point for complex production issues, leading root cause analysis and driving resolution of systemic technical defects.</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Vendor &amp; Integration Engineering: Partner with strategic vendors and internal engineering teams to evaluate integrations, support deployments, and ensure technical performance standards are met.</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Deployment &amp; Operational Enablement: Support pilots, deployments, and operational readiness activities by identifying technical risks, validating environments, and resolving deployment blockers.</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, and Regional teams to align Stay solutions with enterprise standards, operational realities, and long-term scalability goals.</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">IHG Lab &amp; Showcase Space Ownership: Set up and manage technical solution operations of IHG’s stay lab and showcase spaces</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span><strong>What We Need from You</strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.&nbsp;</li><li>Typically a minimum of 7+ years of progressive work related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines, technologies, or processes related to the position.</li><li><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Strong understanding of enterprise system integrations, including APIs, middleware, and third-party vendor ecosystems. Familiarity with hotel technology environments, including PMS platforms, door lock systems, network infrastructure, and guest-facing applications</p></li><li><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Demonstrated proficiency and technical knowledge of infrastructure fundamentals (networking, TCP/IP, security protocols, cloud environments)</p></li><li><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Understanding of project management lifecycle from conception through implementation. Relevant proficiency and technical knowledge of Operating Systems/Applications infrastructure technologies.</p></li><li><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Demonstrated proficiency with application and network monitoring / visualization tools and system monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools. Ability to perform root cause analysis across multiple systems and vendors</p></li><li><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Demonstrated proficiency in analytical, problem solving and root cause analysis skills with ability to correlate cross-platform technologies.</p></li><li><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Experience with the software development life cycle from conception through implementation.
