Formats could include bootcamp, circuit training, build &amp; burn, and more! We want to get our members moving and leave them wanting more!&nbsp;</p><p>Salary Range: $30-$40 per 50-minute class</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>A valid group fitness instructor certification</li><li>A valid CPR/AED certification</li><li>At least one year of instructing experience</li><li>A passion for fitness and community</li></ul><p><strong>Essential</strong> <strong>Functions</strong>:</p><p>To be successful in this job, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. Other essential and non-essential responsibilities and projects may be assigned. &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Safely and effectively guide participants through fitness classes with professional, concise instruction in line with current industry standards</li><li>Program engaging fitness classes with appropriate playlists and exercise routines which are changed up regularly</li><li>Responsible for presenting a positive and competent image of the YMCA through quality programming designed to meet the needs of the community. &nbsp;</li><li>Remain current in required and voluntary trainings at the Metro North YMCA&nbsp;</li><li>Must start and end on time and be well organized and prepared to teach classes. &nbsp;</li><li>Provide excellent customer service to and build relationships with all participants in class, regardless of fitness level, appearance, or otherwise. &nbsp;</li><li>Communicate effectively with the Health and Wellness Director and/or Assistant Director via phone, email, or in person. &nbsp;</li><li>Understand and follow all administrative procedures and adhere to the guidelines outlined in the YMCA Employee Handbook. &nbsp;</li><li>Adhere to all building policies and procedures and assist as needed during emergencies. &nbsp;</li><li>Attend Group Fitness and department staff meetings. &nbsp;</li><li>Other duties as may be assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills and Competencies:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Possess excellent communication and human relation skills. &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work as an integral member of the team. &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to handle member concerns quickly and effectively &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to encourage members to reach their fitness and wellness goals.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must be able to demonstrate appropriate and correct techniques when teaching Group Fitness classes. &nbsp;</li><li>Some lifting may occasionally be required of up to 45 pounds. &nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Staff Benefits and Perks:</strong></p><p>The YMCA is a community invested in its staff.
