    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>New street level Coffee shop and Bar managed by Magnolia Hotel Houston Opening Soon! </p>\n<p>We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused <strong>Barista</strong> to join our Food & Beverage team.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and grab-and-go food items while providing outstanding guest service. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming atmosphere for hotel guests and visitors by delivering exceptional service, maintaining product quality, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, enjoys interacting with guests, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining Magnolia Hotel Houston's service standards.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare and serve high quality coffee, espresso-based beverages, teas, and specialty drinks according to established recipes and presentation standards.</li>\n <li>Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, personalized service throughout the guest experience.</li>\n <li>Practice suggestive selling techniques for beverages, pastries, snacks, and marketplace items.</li>\n <li>Correctly enter guest orders into the point-of-sale system, including proper payment handling procedures for cash, room charges, and credit cards.</li>\n <li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of coffee machines, counters, service areas, marketplace displays, and storage areas throughout the shift.</li>\n <li>Stock and replenish coffee beans, syrups, milk, cups, lids, grab-and-go items, and other supplies as needed.</li>\n <li>Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock or out-of-stock items.</li>\n <li>Ensure marketplace offerings are properly stocked, rotated, labeled, and presented according to hotel standards.</li>\n <li>Follow all Hotel food safety, sanitation, and health department standards when preparing and handling food and beverages.</li>\n <li>Complete opening and closing side duties, including cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, and securing work areas.</li>\n <li>Maintain cleanliness of china, glassware, utensils, and service equipment during service periods.</li>\n <li>Adhere to all Hotel and Food & Beverage department safety standards and procedures.</li>\n <li>Properly handle all chemicals and cleaning products, especially in food preparation and service areas.</li>\n <li>Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards in accordance with Hotel policies.</li>\n <li>Anticipate guest needs and resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly. Seek management assistance when necessary.</li>\n <li>Inform the manager or supervisor of any guest concerns, product shortages, equipment issues, or operational challeng</li>\n <li>Work cooperatively with other departments and team members to ensure efficient hotel operations and exceptional guest service</li>\n <li>Report any injury, accident, or unsafe condition immediately to management.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned, which may include assisting in other Food & Beverage outlets or Hotel departments as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li> </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous barista, coffee shop, marketplace, or food & beverage experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience with computerized point-of-sale systems and cash handling.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of espresso machines, coffee preparation, and beverage presentation preferred.</li>\n <li>Ability to follow Hotel food and beverage policies regarding sanitation, food handling, storage, and side work.</li>\n <li>Willingness to interact with guests in a friendly, welcoming, and professional manner throughout the shift.</li>\n <li>Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.</li>\n <li>Willingness to assist in all areas of the Food & Beverage department.</li>\n <li>Physical ability to perform the functions of the position.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#magnolia</p>",
