    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The <strong>Lifeguard & Waterfront Specialist / Cabin Counselor</strong> is responsible for the daily operation of the waterfront, including the cabin safety and supervision of swimmers. The Lifeguard & Waterfront Specialist/Cabin Counselor leads and lives in a cabin of up to 7 campers. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>This job announcement is not intended to be inclusive of all functions, responsibilities and qualifications associated with the position, however, representative of the essential job functions and typical criteria considered necessary to successfully perform the position.</em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide instruction, supervision, and safety of all campers, staff and volunteers in waterfront area and cabins. </li>\n <li>Assist campers with achieving their goals. </li>\n <li>Responsible for supervision in waterfront and water inflatables. </li>\n <li>Create, plan, and implement age-appropriate boating lesson plans (if applicable).</li>\n <li>Plan and implement age-appropriate swim lessons. Develop weekly lesson plans to be approved by Aquatics Director.</li>\n <li>Ensure adequate supplies and resources are available. </li>\n <li>Supervise and participate in all assigned aspects of the campers’ day which includes but is not limited. to; camper check-in and check-out; mealtimes; and before/after-hours duties as assigned.</li>\n <li>Attend and participate in Lifeguard Training and All Staff Training.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be 16 years of age or older.</li>\n <li>Lifeguarding experience required.</li>\n <li>Must possess current certifications in lifeguarding Waterfront Module and professional CPR and First Aid; Waterfront Safety Instruction preferred.</li>\n <li>Have knowledge in the safety, skill instruction and ability to understand emergency procedures in a waterfront setting.</li>\n <li>Must show enthusiasm, dedication, responsibility and maturity and have the ability to interact and communicate clearly with campers, parents and staff.</li>\n <li>Training will be provided.  </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>YMCA Membership</li>\n <li>Discounted Programs</li>\n <li>12% Employer Retirement Contribution</li>\n <li>Paid Sick Time</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Posted Salary Range</h2>USD $245.00 - USD $385.00 /Wk.",
