In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>University Radiology is looking for a Per Diem <strong>Breast Biopsy Coordinator</strong><strong> </strong>for our <strong>Neptune, NJ Imaging Office</strong> to work 20 hours per week.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Breast Biopsy Coordinator will act as a liaison between the imaging office and the patients to insure accurate communication between parties. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinates breast cancer patient care across all settings with all healthcare providers</li>\n <li>Collaborates with all care providers to assist in the provision of quality/ patient care</li>\n <li>Communicates with patients, their families, physicians and other health care providers</li>\n <li>To promote quality care as a patient coordinator, provide expert knowledge and technical information as necessary </li>\n <li>Maintains detailed knowledge of protocol requirements and policy changes</li>\n <li>Assumes a leadership role in the development of standards for patient education</li>\n <li>Assumes responsibility for maintaining own competency and continuing education in breast health education.</li>\n <li>Collaborates with other breast cancer navigators for support and shared knowledge</li>\n <li>Explains procedure to patients.  Answers all questions and redirects unanswerable questions to appropriate person.</li>\n <li>Interviews patients, obtaining pertinent history with patient consideration and privacy.</li>\n <li>Prepares and updates Breast cases as it relates to Tumor Board</li>\n <li>Schedule biopsies for Neptune, Freehold, Point Pleasant, Cherry Hill, and Tinton Falls offices.</li>\n <li>Maintains an accurate log of all studies performed. </li>\n <li>Monitors and moves patient safely and timely through their biopsy procedures. </li>\n <li>Making sure the birad 4 and 5 patients are placed on the schedule in a timely fashion.  </li>\n <li>Obtains pertinent clinical history required for radiologist review and approval of biopsy procedures.</li>\n <li>Acts of a Radiologist/Surgeon liaison,</li>\n <li>Trains appropriate personnel when needed.</li>\n <li>Understands and applies skills to locate patient images for procedures</li>\n <li>Ensures pathology results are available within 72 hours post procedure or notifies the Radiologist of the delay.  </li>\n <li>Is responsible to notify referring Physician of biopsy results per protocol.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p>*May be required to perform duties in or near areas containing specialized imaging equipment and must be able to adhere to all department and facility safety protocols.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical and/or Radiology practice experience is required</li>\n <li>Good phone etiquette and communication skills</li>\n <li>Excellent organizational skills</li>\n <li>Ability to multi task</li>\n <li>Good computer skills </li>\n <li>Familiarity with medical terminology</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p>University Radiology offers a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental and life insurance, 401k/pension, and profit-sharing plans, generous paid time off policy and more. </p>\n<h2>Pay Range:</h2>\n<p>From $23/hr</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience, education and operational needs</em>.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Join our growing team!</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>University Radiology  is an Equal Opportunity Employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.</p>",
