You&rsquo;ll prep, set up, and operate the machine welder while ensuring every weld is top-quality. When needed, you&rsquo;ll jump in to support other key shop processes like threading, grooving, and cutting&mdash;keeping production running strong.</p><p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Operate and set up the <strong>NAP auto welder</strong> to produce precise, leak-free pipe assemblies.</li><li>Read fabrication sheets/drawings and support shop work including threading, grooving, cutting, and plasma prep.</li><li>Inspect and repair welds to ensure <strong>watertight quality and customer specifications</strong>.</li><li>Follow all <strong>OSHA and safety standards</strong> while performing routine maintenance and keeping the work area clean.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to keep production efficient, accurate, and on track.</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Skilled in operating and maintaining the <strong>NAP auto welder</strong> or similar automated welding equipment.</li><li>Proficient in <strong>MIG welding and plasma cutting</strong>; must pass a weld test.</li><li>Able to read and interpret <strong>technical drawings and fabrication sheets</strong>.</li><li>Familiar with fabrication tools: saws, groovers, threaders, and other shop machinery.</li><li>Strong <strong>attention to detail</strong> to meet precise weld and cut specifications.</li><li>Knowledge of <strong>OSHA safety standards</strong> and safe shop practices.</li><li>Effective <strong>communication, teamwork, and time management</strong> skills.</li><li>Adaptable in a <strong>fast-paced environment</strong> with shifting priorities.</li><li>Accurate with <strong>tape-measure readings and measurements</strong>.</li></ul><p><strong>Education &amp; Experience</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Welding certification or comparable technical training preferred</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Prior welding experience preferred (approximately one year), ideally in fabrication or manufacturing</li></ul><p><strong>Certifications &amp; Licenses</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Hand and/or Machine Welding certifications.</li><li>Ability to pass powered industrial equipment operator exams.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license with acceptable driving record.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Demands &amp; Work Environment</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Frequent standing, walking, and handling of materials.</li><li>Regular lifting up to 50 lbs; occasional handling of pipe up to 100 lbs.</li><li>Exposure to moving mechanical parts, shop conditions, and moderate noise.</li><li>Must remain alert and always work safely.</li></ul></div></div></div>\n",
