Description

Overview Hackensack University Medical Center has an opportunity for an outstanding academically gifted fellowship trained trauma critical care surgeon to join Hackensack University Medical Center’s ACS designated Adult Trauma Level I and Pediatrics Level II program. This candidate will be a member of our multidisciplinary team. Requirements include the provision of trauma services, emergency surgery and critical care. The candidate will actively strive for excellence in outcomes and patient experience through participation in quality improvement processes. Our trauma surgeons must express a passion for the education of varied learners, advancement of the field of surgical critical care, and promotion of DEI initiatives and research. Academic rank granted as commensurate with experience by the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. Hackensack University Medical Center’s Trauma Center provides the highest level of trauma care to critically ill or injured patients and serves as a state-wide resource. Qualifications M.D./D.O. degree from a recognized Medical or Osteopathic School Board certified/eligible NJ Medical License, CDS and DEA Starting Minimum Rate HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The minimum base salary for this position is $399,831. The posted rate of pay in this job posting is a reasonable good-faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package. Education and Certifications: Degrees attained, residencies, fellowships, board certifications, research, and publications. Productivity: Levels of productivity, quality and patient satisfaction. Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in relevant skills and competencies. Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location. Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the specialty and/or sub-specialty. Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered. In addition to our compensation for full-time and part-time (20+ hours/week) positions, HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.
