    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>EVANGEL UNIVERSITY</strong></p><p data-pasted=\"true\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>TITLE:&nbsp;</strong>Assistant Football Coach &ndash; Defensive Position</p><p><strong>DEPARTMENT:&nbsp;</strong> Athletics Department</p><p><strong>REPORTS TO:&nbsp;</strong>Head Football Coach</p><p><br></p><p><strong>EU MISSION STATEMENT:</strong> Evangel University is a comprehensive Christian university committed to excellence in educating and equipping students to become Spirit-empowered servants of God who impact the Church and society globally.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong>: &nbsp;The Assistant Football Coach will be responsible for assisting all phases of managing a successful Football program including, but not limited to: practice and game preparation, academic and athletic support for students, recruiting assistance including travel, practice and contest analysis.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>: The assistant football coach will work within the framework of the Evangel University mission statement and the goals of the Evangel Athletic Department to:</p><p>&middot;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of operating a successful program having knowledge of defensive position, special teams and plan workouts accordingly.</p><p>&middot;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Identify student-athletes capable of competing both spiritually, academically, and athletically at Evangel University. &nbsp;Play a decisive role in the recruitment of student-athletes and manage a database of prospects.</p><p>&middot;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Assist the Head Coach in developing a comprehensive and strategic game plan throughout the season. &nbsp;Evaluate upcoming opponents and prepare a scouting report.</p><p>&middot;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Execute other program related tasks as assigned by the Head Coach.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong> <strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS</strong>:</p><p>-&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or equivalent educational degree.</p><p>&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; A working knowledge of the guidelines and rules governing recruiting, eligibility and rules for the sport within the NAIA.</p><p>&middot;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Knowledge of general operation of the Football program.</p><p>&middot;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Possess the qualities that reflect the standards of conduct and lifestyle of the Assemblies of God fellowship.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><br></strong><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Experience recruiting highly-talented intercollegiate student-athletes. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Experience coaching defensive football (line or linebackers) at an intercollegiate level.</li><li>Ability to coach, teach, and motivate student-athletes in a Christian-collegiate environment.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work in a competitive, collaborative environment.</li><li>Strong communication skills. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Evangel University is a comprehensive Christian university committed to excellence in educating and equipping students to become Spirit-empowered servants of God who impact the Church and society globally.</p><p><strong>INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATION:</strong></p><p>Please complete the following application questions and attach RESUME and COVER LETTER (either by downloading or copy and pasting at the end of questionnaire). &nbsp;After you have answered all the questions, please review your answers and PRINT if desire a copy.
