Description

Overview Regional Consultants must successfully partner and collaborate with Sales Managers, Regional Directors, and Associate Regional Directors in covering strategically important and large market geographic areas in the Intermediary Sales channel and are responsible for driving sales of Allspring’s mutual funds, separately managed accounts, money funds and DCIO business at all broker dealers and RIAs. In addition, the Regional Consultant must promote the importance of leveraging and partnering with resources to improve the client engagement and provide “best in class” resources, investment insights and thought leadership to our key firms, advisors, and centers of influence. Examples include: Portfolio Managers and Product Specialists, Wealth Management Specialists, and Internal SMA Specialists. Regional Consultants sales achievement success will be driven by several factors such as: client service model, segmentation strategy, effectiveness at point of sale, consistency, and focusing on the right products, advisors, and firms. Regional Consultants take a consultative approach at every meeting and are expected to consistently have top tier activity exceeding their weekly, monthly, and annual activity target metrics. Regional Consultants are expected to have a diverse mix of business that represents asset allocation, fixed income, and equities. They are also expected to provide “best in class" resources to their clients. Regional Consultants are responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with key centers of influence and top financial advisors to provide portfolio consultation and product solutions for internal and external investment distribution channels. Finally, Regional Consultants consistently ask for business and close sales opportunities. Responsibilities The Regional Consultants priority will be to drive sales of Allspring’s mutual funds, separately managed accounts, exchange traded funds, money funds and DCIO business at all broker dealers and select smaller RIAs within their segmented clients within the integrated distribution channel. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Collaborating with Regional Directors, Associate Regional Directors, and Sales Management to provide feedback and insights on trends in the industry and market demands on our Financial Advisor clients. Achieving top tier market share at the territory level, at Allspring’s focus firms, and in their focus products. Providing updates on what the Financial Advisors own and discussing best investment strategies and uncover opportunities to up-sell and/or cross sell. Excelling in leaning in on specific asset classes, earning the right to compete for a spot, and delivering exceptionally on proposals. Leveraging third party speakers, portfolio managers and product specialists throughout the year. Identifying and partnering with key local Centers of Influence, as well as key broker/ dealer personnel to expand the breadth and depth of existing relationships and increase client access to maximize sales opportunities. Strategizing ways to penetrate new markets and deepen existing relationships to maximize competitiveness of products. Partnering with Regional Directors, Associate Regional Directors, home office platform investment strategy consultants and key accounts relationship managers to ensure execution on strategies within key internal and external distribution channels. Achieving excellence by demonstrating high performance standards and pursuing business unit goals in the most ethical and efficient manner. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 3 years minimum of sales experience required Experience exceeding established performance goals. Knowledge of industry-specific needs, constraints, and opportunities for wealth and investment management. FINRA Series 7 and 63 (or 66) Reside within the territory Integrity and the personal presence to represent Allspring with enthusiasm and distinction. Demonstrated success in partnering with multiple stakeholders. Remain in stationary position for prolonged periods of time Operate computer programs and software Ability to communicate effectively with audiences in person and in electronic formats Day-to-day contact with others (co-workers and/or public) Ability to work in a collaborative business environment in close quarters with peers and varying interruptions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Excellent relationship building skills coupled with the ability to work effectively in a team environment where strong independent thinking skills are important. Demonstrable intellect – excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong presentation & facilitation skills. Ability to travel 80% of the time. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Certified investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation is preferred Please note : This position does not offer sponsorship for employment visas.
